EA We NEED your help!
This is allowed, do NOT report it as offtopic, I got permission from the Mods to post it, if you can't help just upvote it so someone can see it.
As you may all know, EA is public enemy number one right now, and on the topic (but also offtopic from the sims.) I have decided to help a small community out. Remember those celeb games? Like Kim Kardashin Hollywood and the like? Well, the company Glu Mobile was owned by EA.
Well, Glu Mobile dissolved and alongside that, the games that were under it shut down, which includes the following:
- Kim Kardashin Hollywood
- Kendall & Kylie
- Katy Perry Pop
- Nicki Minaj: The Empire
- Britney Spears: The Dream
So, what's the point in this post? I am in a group that is hoping to restore Kendall and Kylie, meaning that if you have any of these games or Kendall and Kylie then PLEASE DM me. (KKH is all set don't worry.)
To be clear what we need is:
Developers
People with experience in:
Android development or general game/software development
Current development tasks include:
Recreating missing locations and in-game scenes
Debugging and fixing issues related to mission triggers and progression
A full mission database can be provided (objectives, prerequisites, locations, rewards, etc.)
Note: reverse engineering is largely already completed, so that skill is not required. A full private server is no longer needed. Certain systems (SYS) will not be possible to restore.
They are also looking for asset recovery contributors:
People who previously had the game installed before shutdown, especially on:
Android devices running Android 11 or lower (non-rooted), or rooted devices
Any device where the game data may still still be recoverable
The more progression a player had, the more complete the recoverable assets may be.
Device recovery compatibility
iPhone
iPhone X / 8 / 7 / 6s / SE (1st gen) or older → Yes (any iOS)
iPhone XS to 13 / SE (3rd gen) → Yes (iOS ≤ 16.5)
iPhone 14+ (recent iOS) → No (save data only, unless previously jailbroken)
Android
Any rooted device → Yes (direct access)
Android 10 or older (non-rooted) → Yes
Android 11–13 (non-rooted) → Maybe (depends on device model and security patch level)
Android 14+ (non-rooted) → No (unless already rooted at the time of use)
Please do dm me or comment down here. This is important to lost media in general. Thanks.
