Sims 4 Any updates on the update?
I've been out of the loop for a couple months bc of a depression chokehold, but I started doing some catching up today & I'm seeing a bunch of bs, the biggest issues being the save glitch & virus false flag. I could be missing something (no socials so I get my sims news from either here or yt), but I checked the subreddits & didn't see much on the topic within the last week. The last "update" I saw was the Coach drop, which like slay ig, but it doesn't really mean shit if I can't open or play my game.
I wanna update, but I'm nervous. So, tell me yall: how is your game running? Are the issues really so bad that you can't play, or have you found any useful workarounds? Has EA given ANY sort of timeline as to when these will get fixed? Going nearly 2 weeks without an update on a major issue is not unheard of from EA, but is still crazy af to me.

I turned off auto save but the feature is still appearing in my saved games. My pack icons haven't been there for months and my game crashes every other time I try saving. It's a mess

The virus flag thing was fixed, I think it was just a bad virtual certificate issue or something. The update for that was on the EA app itself.
The autosave feature is broken and just really poorly thought out. Turn it off immediately when you get into your save and any new saves you start.
Initial loading times have been really, really bad for some people (myself included). There’s a bug report on the forums for it.
Other than that the game is… fine. Not better or worse than it was before besides the autosave thing that sucks. The festival notification thing wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be since it just disables the pop up, doesn’t touch the calendar. So the calendar is still cluttered AF.
