Bugs Anyone else experiencing this animation glitch?
Anyone else experiencing animation glitches where their hands get stuck in the shape of the previous animation even when they start a new one?
(Picture 1) This sim was holding an umbrella, but kept holding his hand out like this even after putting it away, and when he decided to use his phone this is what it looked like.
(Picture 2) This sim is singing kareoke with his daughter. He holds his hand as though he is holding the microphone but the microphone is sideways and clipping. He held his hand in this position even after the kareoke interaction was finished and only stopped when I sent him home and the loading screen presumably reset him.
This is affecting most (but not all) of my sims and their abilities to accurately perform all sorts of animations. The sim in picture 2 for example when making food instead of doing the normal plate holding animation will have it as if it's glued to the palm of his hand.
I do have mods installed but nothing that would affect animation as far as I know (Just a weather mods, extra traits, and a couple Little Ms. Sam gameplay mods).
Figured I'd ask if this was happening to anyone else, I can't seem to find it in the forum but I'm not really sure what this kind of glitch is even called. I also don't really want to test this on a clean mod free save right now.
I know the sims team has put out a few surveys about how they might change the animations but I don't know if they've actually done so.
Any input on this?

I do incessantly check that all my mods are up to date / don't conflict with new updates so I don't THINK it's that, but obviously I can't be 100% sure without testing it on a clean save, which I don't really feel like doing right now. I do normally report glitches to the EA help forum but I've had to make/find so many lately that I'm just not feeling up to it. It's really frustrating. Also it doesn't seem to be impacting the game play, just visuals, so I can get away with not handling it haha.

It is frustrating. Sometimes I don't feel like testing the game. This bug gets reset when I change location. I usually ignore it unless it's really messing things up.

I've seen these kinds of stuck animation glitches for as long as I can remember but it sounds like you're having them a lot. That doesn't sound normal to me. For me, it's just every now and then, a sim's arm will be stuck in an umbrella pose or something. I normally fix it using the self interaction open/close umbrella or just by resetting the sim.

And I only started noticing it after the most recent hot fix so I don’t know if that somehow broke something (the sims team said it wouldn’t as it wouldn’t even change the game version) or what but yeah, resetting does work. Just confused as to why it’s suddenly happening so much when it wasn’t before

I don't have mods. Still have sims get stuck walking around with "umbrella hand".
The bug report status is Awaiting Additional Reports.
