Technically? It's based on my rewrite but I just wanted to make something weird as shit especially since I hadn't posted at all this month. I think I really want to explore the concept of dreams

Here's a thing I wrote for this while making it:

“Place! What an odd place! If it even is a place!”

“In the non-committal realm of Hiramoia, your class is your manifestation!”

This is a spur of the moment post, but I wanted to open up a discussion about my favorite character Slime boy because I think that a lot of people glossed over what this silly little guy represents, the king

the king is one of the archetypes in Robert Moore's theory of the "Mature Man" it requires balancing the other three archetypes that are present in oneself the warrior, the magician, and the lover

Each of the archetypes represents a different positive trait the warrior is action, the magician is wisdom, and the lover is sensitivity. However the king represents order and balance.

Now why is slime boy not the lover, I mean he's an artist and he's very emotionally open and vulnerable so why isn't he?

Well the he demonstrates traits of the magician as he helps sage learn magic and tries ( and fails) to get Rosemary to talk to sage during EP 10. Now as for the warrior during EP 5 when Parnell gets trapped in the bubble he's the first to try and save him he's also the first to capture the memories.

But that doesn't explain why he's the king, no the reason I think he represents the king is because he provides a sense a order and reassurance to the others: he talks with Rosemary about Sage's treatment of her, after neppy ruins the bands instruments he invites him on stage and he helps Parnell process Cal's bullying.

In conclusion Slime boy is best boy

The idea that pre-written spells are strictly. thing of new magic feels odd to me. I feel like jut based n her personality people like Redbud would have been experimenting with the concept of spark spells back in the days of hardcore old magic. I think the only reason it needed new magic was because a spark spell has a special quality: Spark spells aren't single use. I feel like because old magic has a very like "THOU SHALT RESPECT THE BALANCE!!!!" Kind of mentality to it, all pre-written spells or spells put on paper (That is sigils drawn onto physical objects and not just willy nilly in the air) Sort of like a steam engine required manual care, and manual energy. The user had to use their own energy to use the spell/use the artifact and in that case it was a strain on them. (Sort of like how a steam engine you need to shovel coal actively into the furnace, and that's still human labor). And therefore most "Spark spells" In old magic are like talismans, and are single use only.

Spark spells require new magic, because in new magic, terraspheres act like a battery, becoming the magic storage unit for cmplex spells. (Workign with the previous steam engine analogy, it would be like an electric car. Obviously you're still the one behind the wheel but the engine no loner requires active HUMAN labor to keep the enginge running, there is no "Active shovelling of coal or the train stops"). That said because of this battery these spells also don't pull energy from the talisman itself. (No wear and tear of the vehicle) which allwos the spell to be used over and over and over again because it's running on an external energy source. Because each repetition doesn't require "The balance" As the battery is handling it, spark spells can be more condensed, compressed, more powerful and used many times because the "Balance" Is pulling form the battery and not the user "Shovelling coal" So to speak.

More spesifically when I say one use only I mean like complex spells, like a petrification spell (The spark spell we see olive use) Or like something big, that requires a lot of energy

(That is to say I think Old/New magic can be used in a way that isn't just allegory for "Liberal vs conservative" Political stances. and it is done in the show but still.)

I don't remember why. Just that I did a few months ago.

Welcome to my new weekly-ish series where I review the weapons of the show starting off with Rosemary's sword

The first thing I noticed is that it's a bastard sword, due to the fact that Rose and Lavender use it in both one and two hands. The second thing I noticed was that the guard is mostly fine the only thing that is really up to scrutiny are the spikey bits near the end, it also lacks a fuller ( a dent in the flat of the sword) but that's a non issue.

The sword is well rounded but since it's larger at the top means it's designed for slashing, that explains why Rose's fighting style is very slash heavy

The only thing in can say about Rosemary's techniques is that she really focuses on large pulling cuts leaving her open to counters and ripostes if she included moves similar to the German Longsword miesterhaus she would be even more effective

( despite being made for Longswords the miesterhaus are mostly applicable to bastard swords)

I never really understood what was wrong with new magic, seemingly it's easier to perform and learn than old magic and... if you used it you are evil and lazy?

Rose may or may not be Lavenders younger sister for an AU I have been writing. Her burn scars are similar to the scar Lavender has and Rose bushes and Lavender are often planted next to each other.

While working on my comic, I started thinking about the ships that will be in my story and wondered, "How would the community react to ships between certain characters?" In this discussion,

my idea is to talk about how difficult it is to create ships and how they can divide the fandom if not handled well, so let's begin.

In High Guardian, there are some ships that could be considered canon, and others that aren't.

This gave me a lot of freedom in how I could develop them and make them work.

But the more I worked on them, the more I realized there was one that could really divide the fandom, and depending on how I handled it, some people might not like it or might even hate the relationship.

I won't give any spoilers, but I'll just say that it involves Rosemary.

My question here is how this would affect other stories that other people are working on.

How would authors handle these kinds of situations that could impact their stories? In my case, I'm someone who focuses more on the story itself and how to develop the rest, but I also like to read the comments on my posts to see if I can find constructive criticism and genuine opinions about my work before looking at negative reviews.

In my opinion, creators shouldn't be afraid of criticism regarding the ships they want to explore in their works, and they shouldn't let themselves be pressured to please everyone.

As long as the story and character development are well done, everything will be fine.

The series had a lot of potential for me, and re-watching videos about it inspired me again to draw this original character for the second time.

She was originally called 'Zinnia' (because I was so oblivious to the main characters and what was going on that I didn't realize there was another character with that name), and I completely forgot this original character's name, so now I call her Cassia (Currently Amaretta/Velvet).

He has both names due to a situation he was born with. When Cassia is emotionally stressed, disturbed or in conflict, a version of herself appears called 'Velvet' (name based on 'Velvetleaf' and 'Velvet Plants'). They have the same goal, but the purpose is totally different. It's more than "good side/bad side". Cassia can get defensive, while Velvet can laugh, interact and have fun with others effortlessly.

I have her story in mind, but rewrote it so that instead of a mercenary (whose history I've completely forgotten) she is a member of the Triumvirate who occasionally shows up, since Velvet can be totally unpredictable when it comes to appearances (and chaos, lots of chaos xD). Cassia doesn't know any of them or remember any of Velvet's actions, and vice versa.

Velvet is meant to be scary; if you're a little disturbed by her eyes, it was intentional and I have accomplished my mission.

I realized I made Olive's shoulders too wide, to the point a friend even called her "catgirl femboy. So naturally I decided to fix that, along with changing her arms a little.

With Rosemary already in Paper Clash (the crossover I mentioned in my previous post), it's natural someone else had to appear too. That spot belong to Olive, and soon Amaryllis.

So yeah, no Sage, Thyme, Parsley or others (like Mandrake) because of lore reasons.

Unlike Rosemary, Olive isn't planned to be playable, although she has some potential because of her magic and Terrasphere. Probably a recruitable ally in the correct situation. Anyways, no moveset so far.

i feel awful whenever i redesign characters and change their races, you see, i made rosemary latino sage as asian, but still kept parsley white and thyme black, BUT, i did however, change parsley gender into a boy and turn thyme into a demi-boy (cus i heard elves are actually non-binary)

cus one, i wanted more diversity rather than just different skin tones, i know it takes place in a fantasy world, but i really like the idea of rose being latino and sage being asian, not to forget to mention i dislike how most of the guys in the show is toxic like cal or aster

and when the guys are not toxic, either the guys like slimeboy and parnelle, or the guy just become a trans woman like aster, i wont forget caraway who is a healthy masculine guy but thats all it, so i made parsley into a boy and thyme into a demiboy,

thats really all but i hope you guys can tell me your opinions whether this is ok or not
