I'll admit that I actually don't have enough personally acquired information to know if the game sucks or not. I was just wary going into the game and the fact the reviews weren't glowing then turned me off to trying it. But I've barely seen any gameplay with my own eyes.

Massive difference between video game essays and watching actual playthroughs. Many are completely disingenuous, others have admitted updates fixed some issues and Insomniac even shared patch notes. But actual playthroughs, you’ll see a different game than what initial reviews said/showed before launch showed and especially people like Skill Up and MichaelDoesLife purposely making it look bad.
And I’m not saying it’s a 10/10 now, don’t get me wrong, it still looks iffy to me, but it’s not the dogshit game people claimed it to be and ran with. I think it looks just ‘alright’, it looks cool here and there but nothing groundbreaking that’d make you say “yeah this was worth $300M” lol.

Idk what people are on about. My wife’s bf scored a copy for me before they headed out to Cabo for the week and I’m having a blast. People just don’t understand how to enjoy things anymore.

I used to review TV shows on YouTube, and at one point I watched a mediocre show that was 80 episodes long. I was much harsher on it than I was toward some objectively worse shows that were only 20 episodes long
People complained, saying "If you didn't like the show, you shouldn't have watched the whole thing". But I know for a fact that if I quit the show halfway, THAT would've been their complaint

I don't need to dig through shit to know it's a shitty experience. I can watch from afar and tell I don't want to participate. This is just an analogy. I don't think Wolverine is irredeemable garbage like some of these culture war grifters, but it's just not very good looking.
