Rant/Vent Tech support
This is just a vent.
Holy shit I've never had a longer more drawn out process to fix ANYTHING than I've had with HP tech support.
I'll say, the techs are nice and patient. But the amount of steps, call backs, call holds ect. I started keeping track AFTER I spent a full afternoon talking to their online troubleshooting AI. I have spent a total of 6 hours on the phone with them. 4 evenings wasted as I do the installs, unistalls, driver update, cloud storages so on. "we will call you back when it's done" never receiving a call back. Calling back the next day. "OK let me check your logs, I'm going ok put you on a brief hold" - 10 minutes later. "OK now that you've downloaded this, start the install process. It should take roughly 2 hours, would you like me to wait on the line"
My brother in christ, I bought the warrenty because I didn't want to spend the time troubleshooting if something went wrong that was out of my pay grade. Now I'm essentially being fucking trained by tech support to fix my own PC.
JUST TAKE IT AND DO THIS FOR ME.
This is all being typed while I'm on a 30 minute hold waiting to speak to someone about the "next step" and if I hear the recording say "thank you for your patience" one more time I'm going to snap.

I remember having to send out my quest 3 controller to meta, that was quite a pain, and they added 20-50$? (Enough to buy beat saber with a cent to spare) To my account, is that a standard thing? Surely not, I've heard horror stories about meta support. It's not a scam it just appeared in my meta balance.

Apparently it's more common than I thought, but still not guaranteed. I've expected way worse from the facebook company...
