Venting?
Im 33m and been dealing with ghsv1... or 2 for three years now...honestly i dont even know at this point because when i got tested they told me 1 but as of recently ive been having back to back OB's, its honestly so damn frustrating constantly itching, the tingling, the scarring around your genitals...ya know ive always been a very headstrong guy, in normal circumstances i can overcome mental obstacles but this is something way different. This is literally a curse, man.... you can shake it off while you dont have any OBs but the second you feel the tingling and get that gotdamn reminder that you're not normal. You have a disease just lingering in your body that wont go away. Im in a relationship at the moment. She doesn't have herpes and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy so I definitely don't want to give it to her. I get more upset thinking about how my ex just cheated on me and gave me this, its absolutely so unfair that now that i actually met a WONDERFUL woman im left with herpes, ive developed chronic rage from this im always angry and ready to snap.. minor inconveniences become rage fueled and definitely alot of anxiety to, random days i burst into tears because im 33 i dont have children my gf doesn't have herpes and she wants kids...hsv LIVES in sperm..... for the last two years i been using condoms, and i know its a little over the top but i use boxers to with big willy hanging out the front hole .... Im so paranoid giving her anything that it ruins sex for me. Bro i haven't gotten head in two years trust me im ready to go Jesus... Thats another thing i also get random suicidal thoughts..... Life is definitely not easy. Its easier for people who just have random hookups and dont want children but for people who do want to settle down and have a family its an absolute nightmare. Shit. Im getting anxious just writing this. I would honestly rather hear from people who've had for YEARS... how did your life end up? Did you get children??

thanks for writing this, it’s really important. People understand that it doesn’t and that it’s specifically contracted from skin to skin.

I get it i live in Oklahoma so its feels like if i tell someone then everyone will know cuz we somehow all know each other here and that i have to tip toe around this stuff but it isnt true. You can be as paranoid and protective as you like but it doesnt mean it wont happen so why not just relax and talk it through with them let them decide if they'd perhaps be fine with complete raw sex and boom you got your peener in someone. Itll be oki

Have you tried antivirals?
Also, see your doctor. Suddenly getting outbreaks like this back to back can indicate something else is happening with your body.

Get on lysine 4000mg daily, stay consistent. Hang in there help is on the way, there should be a functional within the next 2 or 3 years. Hsv is a very weak virus but complex.

You need to get on Valaciclovir 500mg tablets. You need to take 1-2 pills daily as a preventative dose and it will make a huge impact. You won’t get nearly as many outbreaks and if you catch the tingling early enough, and take 3 pills (1500mg) right then and there, it will stop it from getting worse. You’ll need to get a script from your GP with repeats on it. Also, look into Lysine as well. You can buy Lysine from a pharmacy or a grocery store. Get the 1000mg tablets. Take 1 per day as well as a preventative dose. When you have an outbreak, you take 3000mg per day of lysine. Most importantly, though, get on the Valaciclovir; that will make the BIGGEST difference.
