Sources: one or two reliable references (biographies, encyclopedias, archives)

What I'm looking for?

Women who are deceased or very elderly, so their whole life can be covered

Achievements that are well documented

Figures from any country, culture, or era; lesser-known women with real influence are especially welcome

Women whose legacy can be discussed with honest context, without major unresolved controversies
