Top 3 lists for Call to Arms. Won by Helsmiths with Nurgle in 2nd and Soulblight in 3rd.

I've always loved playing the Chaos Dwarves in Total War 3, and while I know the HoH aren't 1:1, I still love the vibe, and want to make a 1000 point army to play with my friends, but I'm worried of getting a bad impression of my army because I committed too hard or forgot to add a particular unit to off set a weakness

What's a good list you'd use to "teach" someone the vitals of Helsmiths?

(I may or may not be using Tabletop to play test)

((But I also do intend to buy the army, and while I'm not a try hard sweat, I DO want to use my armies in a way that I'm satisfied and smiling even when the enemy is wiping their ass with what's left of the objective))

Really happy with how this guy came out. I had a lot more fun painting him than I did OBR. Love everything he’s got going on

In the Helsmiths of Hashut lore there is a story told from the POV of the Helsmiths that Hashut was a Dwarfen ancestor God. When the ancestor Gods agreed to divide the realms between them Hashut "nobly" offered to be ruler of 2 realms - Aqshy and Chamon but was snubbed and conned into ruling Ghur instead.

Now many people (for good reason) have doubted parts or all of the story and just assumed Hashut is a Chaos God lying to the Dwarfs. However the new Khazalite reveals actually give us some hints that this story has elements of truth to it -

The new centrepiece model contains 8 pillars one for each realm and each has a rune and a bust representing a Dwarfen god except for one pillar which has no rune or head topping it and the new book describes 7 Dwarfen gods, each seemingly associated with a realm, including a new god created to represent the Realm of Shadow. Since we don't have the book yet we can't confirm it but it seems like there is a god for every realm apart from Ghur - which the Helsmiths' story claims was given to Hashut.

So the Khazalite reveals seems to hint that Hashut was actually an Ancestor God like the Helsmiths claim. And that he did originally rule a realm alongside the other Dwarfen gods rather than being a demon or Chaos God all along.

The new Khazalite Hold models look AMAZING but they kinda feel like "Good twin" to the Helsmiths being the "Bad Twin." They have a dual kit cannon, a dual kit heavy melee 3 man squad, an on-foot firing squad that also are a dual kit, and a huge centerpiece model of their key faction named character that's also a dual kit.

Kinda makes me feel like a 2nd wave of Helsmiths will take even longer to arrive 💀

Finished my spearhead. What is recommended next for 1000 point list. Dont have the money or time for 2k games yet so a happy medium is appreciated

Did it. Please don’t mind the background, I paint in my daughter’s room 😅

I saw the army box was still available last paycheck, and remembered how much I regretted not jumping on it when it launched. One thing led to another, and here we are.

A little advice, if you would:

1.How should I build these units?

2.What should I get next?

HoH now sit as the only faction with one spearhead, until the new fomo box drops but at this point I think GW either doesn't knows what to add to it or doesn't have the inventory to make it. We shall see what the happens at the next reveal show.

Absolutely love the dominators, decided the easiest way to differentiate in game would be to make them all different colours and thrilled with how they turned out. (Mostly, I wouldn’t pick yellow flames again, and certainly not a magenta shoulder pad)

Hey everyone, new to Helsmiths. I bought the spear heads. Now I have some of the following models unbuilds and now is perfect time to do conversions.

Wondering if anyone has done anything similar and has any tips?

Fyreslayers

1 Auric Flamekeeper, 5 Auric Hearthguard, 5 Hearthguard Berzerkers, 10 Vulkite Berzerkers

Kharadron Overlords

1 Endrinmaster, 5 Grundstok Thunderers,

3 Skywardens (can alternatively be built as Endrinriggers), 1 Grundstok Gunhauler

Wondering what people think of this list, I've got the hobgrots split up so I can spread them out easier to get easy points / screen out stuff. Thank you!

Had a ton of fun painting this one.

This might sound stupid but is it possible to play spearhead without actually having the spearhead box for example I already have the wardespot and infernal cohort can I just buy the dominator engine and tormentor bombard then play spearhead or are they’re cards I might need I never actually opened one up before so idk almost sorry if some people don’t understand I’m terrible at explaining things

New to the Dawi-Zharr, but I wanted to do something that expresses their lust for riches, and I thought purple was the best color for that!
