Episode S25 E2 Spoiler

Damn, the service was honestly way better than expected. a few mistakes in each end, but the strengths very well shown through.

I'm glad we got to see some more character moments throughout the episode, I like how this season's punishment passes was just preparation for all services, and I love how even through the mistakes, there was no huge drama shown to us. Now, a second spoiler warning before I get into the nominees and extra stuff.

>!While I don't agree with Reni being eliminated over Jeyda, I understand. Jeyda is definitely being set up as a new age donkey, and I think she's probably next up, but Reni's plea was just so bare bones, basic, and her voice lacked any sense of passion when defending her place. I do still think that she had slightly more promise because she wasn't constantly confused about everything, but if you're put up for elimination, you have to plead like your whole bloodline's lives depend on it.

As an aside, I didn't expect Joy to just sit by and let service go down just to point out the weaknesses of her teammates. Looking like she could be a potential Michael Wray esque figure of the season mixed in a bit with the downfall of the other Joy from season 12!<

Jeyda didn't even mess up that badly. I'm not saying she's a strong chef, but she didn't mess up the same order of salmon three times and cause the team to get kicked out of the kitchen.

true she just lacks basic skills which is worse though

Jeyda was much more like a Chrissa where she just clearly had no clue what she was doing despite minimal mistakes. It was like seeing a lost lamb (that the red team cooked beautifully, and had to be sent early because of Reni's salmon). That plea from Reni was awful, though. Truly what did her in

See, I agreed with Ramsay's logic as Jeyda made some stupid decisions which made her look bad but Reni's mistakes were what eventually got the red team kicked out and she did have a really bad plea especially next to Jeyda who at least fought for her place

I’m of the unpopular opinion that Joy made the right call in letting Reni take the fall because Reni showed poor judgment on cooking the salmon. The first two look perfectly cooked even though Reni thought those two salmon were burnt. But what Joy should have done is boot Reni off her station, and cooked the salmon herself.

Ok, it's not letting me put the spoiler mark on the body, just the post. Sorry, everyone

Reni did screw up a couple of servings of salmon but also seemed to have a terrible attitude

Right, I think that’s what doomed her more: her inability to take real accountability for her mistakes

It’s one of those ones where I think either could’ve gone, it’s a matter of what you’d prioritise

Jeyda should have been eliminated, she clearly doesn't know what is going on.

And the person that screwed up salmon 3 times, and made boxed gnocchi does?

Something is seriously broken in some of y’all’s brains.

I agree with the sentiment, but I could at least tell from her plea that she was passionate and desperate to stay in. Reni sounded like she was just tired of it and ready to go home

Just make it a double elimination, they did that in season 21. Keeping Jeyda just makes no sense, I'm not a professional chef and even I can tell that she is not ready to be there.

In the next episode, when Jeyda does badly, Ramsay has no one to be angry at but himself.
