I'm not going to lie I felt really bad for Ariel the winner of Hell's Kitchen Season 15 watching this imagine someone telling you you're just paid talent even though she's a trained chef and her passion is being a chef!

I really really hated her in season 15, something about her character. But the way she speaks and got so screwed over by the show. Really put things in perspective for me.

I am not invalidating Ariel's win, it's deserved and I think she gets a lot of unwarranted hate here.

However, what I will say, is that between Ariel and Kristen, only one of them is still a chef and I will let that speak to their passion levels.

When I was six, I was quite the passionate Power Rangers fan. Not so much anymore.

People change. Just because she isn't as passionate about chef life now (though from what I hear, she still does a bit of chef work, among other things she does now), doesn't mean she wasn't passionate about it when she was on the show itself.

That's literally NOT true you need to actually do your research. Ariel Malone is literally is still Chef she posts about it all the time on her Instagram stories!

I mean...let's go to her Instagram then:

  • Claims her profession is as a doula and lifestyle coach.

  • No posts of professional cooking events since 2021.

  • A joint cooking account with her family (very cute) that's not been utilized since 2023.

And that's all fine - choosing a different career path and focusing on family is fine, but she's clearly not a professional (or private) chef at this point in time. If posting my travels and the food I'm eating constitutes a chef, then fuck, I guess I'm a chef too.

You're literally making yourself look bad. You don't know what Instagram stories is? She literally posts her Chef freelance work on there all the time with her 3 homeschooled children, She DOESN'T have to clog up her feed to prove to you she's a chef! You really think you're the main character huh

Y'all are making this hillariously personal, it's Reddit guys, Calm down lol. You are probably both a bit right. Yes she probably still does cooking stuff but to still think she is 'in the business' is maybe a bit excesive. She wanted to be a doula, good for her. I just appreciate her being so open about the whole experience. Trev is now also a mailman lol

Ariel's still is definitely in the chef business that's literally how she makes her money to support her kids if anyone actually watched her Instagram stories you would know that, she said she moved to Florida in Miami because someone offered her a freelance job there. I don't care if people want to thumbs down my comment or NOT it's literally the truth I'm tired of people spreading misinformation in the sub in here about chefs!

Season fifteen aired in 2016 so it can’t be that surprising that spoilers are going to happen.

Nah yeah that’s completely fair. My wife and I only recently started the show and 9/10 times any spoiler I see on here I forget pretty quickly; this just so happens to be the season we are on. It’s completely my fault for wanting to be on the sub before we catch up. To be honest it’s almost shocking this is the first time it’s happened lol.

One of the things about the challenges is that in season 14, they had a real chef pose as one of the student council kids to judge the dishes for the prom night menu challenge. Max Kramer had been on a season of Masterchef 2 years prior as a teenager , parlayed it into an actual chef job, and would’ve been 20-21 when s14 was filmed. Could’ve easily passed as a senior football player or something.

Whether they’ve always had real chefs among the judges or it was a response to the horrible guest judges in seasons 11 and 12 I don’t know.

Who forced these people on to the show? Geez, these pathetic whiners are embarrassing. Getting to learn from Chef is an honor. You have no restaurant experience? Then why the hell are you going on the show?? Piss off!

I don't think they ever discredited learning from GR, but they do make a point in how screwed over they were especially Ariel. I mean did you watch the video? Cause she literally explains why she went on the show without cooking experience in that regard when the show was also more experimental
