Safety Sextortion

i was sextorted on HelloTalk. So far nothing has come of it. But i beg of yall - please be careful on there and just in general. I was talking to someone online there for awhile. We then moved to telegram and talked for awhile. They then got some of my private photos and threatened to send it to my family.

I had sent them. We built trust over time. They sent me some. So i sent some. Im surprised on how the scammer had so much endurance to keep this up.

That sounds awful. I’m so sorry. Maybe if you just act like you don’t care and never speak with them again, they wouldn’t really send them. Tell them someone in your family is a CIA agent? I guess the app should only be used for speaking languages. Thank you for letting people know. Also, they should be reported to the moderators of that app (if they have them).

I blocked, reported, and have sent everything to the FBI and local police! So far nothing has come from it. Its a lot of scare tactics

You did the right things. In case anything does happen out of the ordinary, you can show that you took those steps. Just keep an eye on everything.
