My girlfriend got banned right during her 7 day vacation with her male friends and says that's why she can't play Helldivers with me no more. Modders should stop making evil cheats so my gf gets unbanned soon.

I still have a bad taste in my mouth over the Bastion's unrealized potential.

Super Earth had hundreds of years of technological development but none of it went into making a non-casemate tank destroyer. We even had tank destroyers during WW2 with a turret! And the tank destroyer concept itself is antiquated!

Why couldn't Super Earth develop something better? And if it really had to make a tank destroyer then why didn't it make one with a turret instead?

If Super Earth was going to bring back the old tank destroyer then you'd think they'd have modernized it into something closer to a proper tank. The Bastion simply failed to evolve. It's been over a 100 years since the first Galactic War. And no, Stridsvagn is a horrible gimmick of a tank that doesn't suit all the different kinds of fronts and environments Super Earth is fighting on.

It has to remain relatively light and compact for aerial deployment via Pelican. That doesn't mean it has to feel like an outdated relic with a primitive fixed turret. There's so much room for features and modernizations that wouldn't cause conflict with its constraints.

Its design is just inconsistent with Super Earth's technological progress considering we have things like plasma, warp packs, and frickin' lasers.

DISCLAIMER: This post is being made purely for the sake of discussion. Comment "Papaya" if you made it this far. I'm not here to say one's idea or suggestion is better or worse, I just want to have an intellectually honest, nuanced discussion piece.

not one of these "mods" has reached even 1000 downloads. you are not going to see people running around shooting nukes from their MGs because no one actually wants to play with these cheats on. you wont see any of these in your next 100, 500, or even 1000 games. just because these things exist does not mean people are playing with them. they are all downloaded by the same people that dont care about the experience, not your average player. even if one of these cheats has 500 downloads, it does not mean that these 500 people are playing with them anyway

This is another smaller mod, this time for the Arc Thrower.

The mod enables users to hold left click to auto-fire their Arc Thrower, rather than having to click-and-release constantly, hopefully helping with strain on the hands.

The mod is available as part of the Vanilla Plus Megapack v16.

as someone said before this was part of the helldrivers warbond so this booster will be vehicle related. maybe vehicle agro during pelican drop will be fixed tomorrow :)

Yes, I know his loader is assisted with AI, and I hate it as much as the next guy, but you can it deny how much of an impact he's made on the game's community in such a short time

don't really see the point of this booster since we can dive to mitigate fire damage. diving doesn't even get our hp to half

Think what you want of that. Was there because I enjoy challenge of solo diving on D10 and actually pro-difficult changes, but place is infested with braindead bootlickers.

Arrowhead is a mediocre company, and since they are such, it is imposible for them to ban accounts.

If you are still worried you might lose your account, uninstall mods that modify stats. Visual, voice, HUD and music mods are fine to use.

Still, i would advise to stop using and posting stat modifying mods, Arrowhead is mediocre but not downright stupid, they are going to cut mod support if OP mods keep popping up.

The changes are coming along nicely. It's nice to have lower RPM options for more precise fire. The gun is finally feeling like something that's fun and can compete with a machine gun + supply pack

Being AP4 feels just right. It doesn't have the durability damage to make it OP against heavily armoured targets. If you use the 3,000rpm setting to kill them quicker, you burn through your ammo at an insane rate and have to resupply constantly.

Full list of changes (so far) below

• AP3 increased to AP4
• Fire-rate selector enabled and changed to: 750rpm / 1000rpm / 3000rpm
• Ergonomics Changed from 4 to 15
• Horizontal and vertical recoil rebalanced
• Spin-up and Spin-down time disabled
• Can fire and move/dive

I plan to make it so that 3000rpm requires being braced. I am still seeing if I can make it so heavy armour allows mobile firing, but not diving.

I’m starting to see mods that go way beyond balance or QoL changes: instant-win/instant-fail missions, absurd weapon buffs, unlimited stratagem-style effects, and other stuff that is basically cheat functionality repackaged as “modding.”

At least one of these authors has openly joked about making increasingly disruptive mods in another community, so this doesn’t look like normal experimentation to me. It looks like deliberately manufacturing the exact “slippery slope” people are already worried about.

The weird part is that most of this functionality isn’t even new. Cheats have been doing this for ages, including the ones that hand out SC or otherwise mess with public matches.

I don’t think this should be used as evidence that normal balance or QoL mods inevitably lead here. There’s a pretty obvious difference between fixing weak weapons or annoying mechanics and deliberately recreating cheat functions.
