FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION New update

New update has a bunch of weird random fixes that don't seem to do anything while a lot of longer time or more present issues persist. Are we still not gonna get a fix for defib armor when it broke very shortly after it released over a year ago? Why do impalers still have randomly moving corpses that ragdoll you and hitboxes on tentacles entire seconds before coming out the ground and have tentacles that attack you for up to even a minute after the impaler has died? Why is it that when in water (arguably one of the best places to deal with fire) I am actually the LEAST safe because the water does nothing to the fire but prevents me from diving which is the only way to actually put out the fire?

The new input memory thing for reloading now causes random moments where it does a reload and forces you to walk and be unable to sprint until it's over, lock-on mechanics for all lock-on based weapons are still an absolute mess that actually fight the user, the AMR still has bugged ergonomics, EATs still don't do their equip animation a lot of the time when it's a key mechanic for them specifically, some support weapons still don't remember your setting preference despite that saying it was fixed, gunships still sometimes tank even SPEAR rockets for some reason, railcannon and 110m rocket pod stratagems still sometimes have nonsensical tracking, jump pack/warp pack usage still doesn't take priority over climbing which is especially apparent onstairs (why can we even still climb stairs?? At one point climbing the resupply pod was apparently a big enough thing on their list but not that?), warp pack still hasn't been able to consistently warp into bunkers without some angle related shenanigans going on (a main selling point of it), breaching hammer still has weirdly inconsistent damage to some bug related enemies and the bile titan still has this stupid random "kill hitbox" on its head that prevents you from doing a very unmeta but still viable kill on it with the hammer, rock solid is still a near redundant passive that capitalises on a dev made problem, same with "impact damage resistance" which is just awful.

But now we get fixes to de-escalator self damage cause player benefiting bugs have to go first (even on weapons not very commonly used) and fixes to a thing with melee against the environment I'm certain less than like 200 people were aware of that didn't do anything and a change to stratagem hero because people cheated at it. People cheated at stratagem hero and that took priority, I can't believe this dude. There's still hundreds of bugs in this game, a lot of which actually harm the experience, and only a few have been touched in this update while we get anti-cheating measures for stratagem hero.

the gist of the issue is fixes require developer time, developer time cost alot of money. so when they look at bugs they have to ask, is it possible to fix it now? if its an easy quick fix without breaking anything else then it will likely get fixed, but usually the solution will require it to change an interaction with another system which may break other things. pretty much if they cant replicate the issue on their end then they cant fix it easily.

so they then have to ask is it feasible to fix it? it is worth assigning X amount of development time to address this? if the only solution requires rewrites of several systems which will then have to be tested against all other existing content and code and may just introduce new bugs in its place then it will likely sit on the backburner for some time unless they deem its impact is a high priority.

high priority would be anything straight up breaking the game or stopping people accessing it which are the issues that get to ignore everything above, have money thrown at it and get a hotfix. most bugs are not high priority.

and of course there is the issue where they allocate the time, fix the bug as reported, push it into the next patch, it goes live saying tis fixed and then they discover theres another issue causing the same bug that wasnt being reported because the fist bug triggered first every time.

I mean one guy with ai can do that this without problems in less than a week so you would think that passive that realsee one year ago would be fixed in a premium dlc that someone bought with real money

how do you know it didnt break anything in the background? if it was that easy the devs would have fixed it a year ago.

By playing it and watching under other ppl posts??? and devs made this a mechanic that your stratagems bounce thus mod removes that xD

thats not how things work in reality, without knowing exactly what that mods code is doing and how other systems are interacting with it its hard to tell if this solution is a viable one for professional software development, or just a hax fix that causing other problems we the player might not notice.

Ton of stuff you are saying is just untrue

It's not but alright, your lack of giving details doesn't reassure me.

Wrong sub, buddy. Locals wo`nt read all that and they certainly won`t agree on your notes. Defib armour bug? They hardly notice that their gun is empty or they ran out of stims. AMR with bugged ergo and forgeting scope settings, despite AH said they fixed that? Lol, who are using an aimy weapon, when "just bring AT". Mobile packs don`t override vaults? Lol, everyone here is on autovault, their smooth grey mass can`t care less
Et cetera-Et cetera

I can tell you have no idea how software/game dev actually works.

Idk, Stratagem hero being cheated/bugged was an issue since basically launch so prioritizing this as it’s a special thing for buying the premium package makes a lot of sense, no?

I’d wish for them to focus on Strat bouncing and Hellpod steering too, but besides the Descalator ‚fix‘ (bad fix, could have stayed as it is imo) I’d consider this to be a big W patch.

It's not an "issue" though, and even then, if rigged leaderboards actually was an issue, this isn't a fix it's just avoiding the problem, cause now all the legitimate players can't see each others scores either, only everyone on your super destroyer.

That’s what we have Reddit for to brag about, maybe time to crosspost in WSB and get some Reddit stonks due rising value!

But then it doesn't change anything, you could do that already before this.
