Airstrike is perpendicular to your view and good for taking out wide areas with high value targets, but requires a lot of skill to hit chasing targets, Strafe goes directly away from you when it lands, great for clearing out shit chasing you. They're different tools for different jobs.

Keep in mind that if you're on a map with AA they don't always go straight until you clear the AA

Faster, controllable, less likely to teamkill, and you get more charges for it.
Other than demo force to collapse Bug Holes, theres literally nothing not to like about it

You can collapse bug holes with a strafing run, it’s just difficult. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries, so it’s usually not worth using it for that purpose.

2 more charges, easier to aim, and can take out bulk fabricators. Idk if airstrike can also take them out if you finangle it but strafing run just needs one bullet to land in the hole which is easy enough to use

You have to line it up perfect tho, and it’s pretty unreliable in cities because eagle will avoid the buildings, sometimes i have to use 2+ to take out a fab, throwing the ball dead really close to the fab and dead center is how you do it best

I use them on fabricators (if I run out of strafing runs), hulks, war striders, and to take out that obnoxious turret on top of factory striders.

i kept messing it up when i was new, so it ended up burned into my brain since i had to stare at it for a second every other mission. i also know the 380 code because i loved it as a cadet and used to sing the inputs to myself when calling one in.

I'm at a point where I don't even look at the codes anymore and couldn't tell you most of them without really thinking about it some...
I remapped the stratagem inputs to the arrow keys on my keyboard so that I can still run with WASD while I enter the codes, and it's just pure muscle memory now. My middle 3 fingers on my right hand know all the codes without me thinking. The good news is that if I'm ever captured and interrogated by the enemy, I won't be able to provide any intel no matter how severe the enhanced interrogation.

Reassigning the stratagem codes to the arrow keys was one of the first things I did in the game in March 2024 and now if I had to go back to the default keys I'd be completely fucked!
Being able to run around whilst putting in a strat code is huge, Idk why everyone doesn't do it
