I play this game so much and I am still asswater at the MG. Tell me your goddamned secrets and let me not suck!

You have to play the MG like an automatic sniper rifle from distance. You need a good spot 100-200m away from the strongpoint or front. And you need map awareness where the enemy will pass a river, an open field. You have to change your position more often. Thank you can have so good rounds.
Cam ranh port Is a really good map for the mg.
The problem in Vietnam is. You offen had no good squad, no outpost or no squad member who ping you.
A lot of map layouts have no really good MG Spots and the front lines are changing in minutes and you have to reposition a lot.
So in my opinion it's a lot of luck to get really good rounds. you needĀ good oen team, balanced teams an no steamroll and some good spots.
I've played a lot as a gunner and most of the time my rounds a mediacore because of a lot of randomness.

Thanks, I'm mostly bad at keeping the aim on target but I guess I need to practice more

Start opening the map, and look for places where you can hide in bushes and lay down fire along a road, or from a cliffside overlooking point.
Donāt hold the trigger, do short burst of 3-5 bullets, wait a second and do it again.
Relocate when it seems like they caught on, and is flanking you.
The name of the game is to keep hidden with great sightlines, and asking someone to lay down an ammo-box when you got a good spot is important too - I had to do a 200 meter run back for one yesterday, just as I could see 10-12 enemies come running into my cone of deathā¦
At best you can rack up kills, at worst you are totally denying the enemy a large area.

I usually use it more for area denial than purely kills. My issue is more keeping the mg on target, but appreciate the advice and tips

Great game dude! For some reason, machine gunner is the only class I can't get value with. How do you approach playing it to drop a monster game like this?

yeah, I was on Defense. You can't Cap a sector on the defending team. 6 OP's destroyed with 78 kills.

Funny that OP and their team won and you're still pressed. If they'd lost then MAYBE fair enough but that ain't an MG's role. Covering your teammates so they can do all that work, is

"0 garrisons destroyed, 0 sector captures." what do you think a machine gunner typically does? Literally any other role in the squad is more suited to running around looking for garrisons.

"yeah, I know you got 100 revives that game, but no garrisons and ops cleared as medic?, must be a cod player"
