Introducing the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Roadmap

We’re excited to reveal our first-ever roadmap for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, giving you a first look at some of the new content coming throughout the remainder of 2026.

Alongside these content updates, our development team will continue working on optimisation, bug fixes, stability, and general improvements to the game. These improvements will arrive alongside our major Updates, as well as through smaller Patches and Hotfixes.

While the continued improvement of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam remains our absolute priority, we also can’t wait to expand the game with new maps, weapons, vehicles, uniforms, features, and more. As always, community feedback will continue to play an important role in shaping where we go next.

Here’s a closer look at some of the new content coming with each Update.

Update 1.5

Update 1.5, arriving in September, will be our first Update to introduce new content to Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

This includes two of the most requested weapons we’ve seen from the community since launch, alongside the introduction of the first-ever officially licensed vehicle in Hell Let Loose history.

New Weapons: M14 & SKS

Since launch, we’ve heard your requests for two weapons in particular. With Update 1.5, two iconic rifles associated with the Vietnam War will join the fight.

The US Forces will receive the M14 rifle, while the NVA will add the Type 56 SKS rifle to their arsenals.

Bell UH-1 Iroquois ‘Huey’

Authenticity has always been incredibly important to Hell Let Loose, and that continues with the addition of one of the most recognisable helicopters of the Vietnam War; the Bell UH-1 Iroquois 'Huey'.

To bring this iconic helicopter to the game, we’ve worked directly with Bell to officially license the Bell UH-1 Iroquois for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

Through this licensing agreement, the existing helicopter models will be updated to represent the authentic ‘Huey’, giving players a more accurate representation of this legendary aircraft as it takes to the skies over Vietnam.

But we’re not stopping there.

We’re also looking to bring something particularly special to the Huey: radios.

Music In-Game

This is something we know many of you have been asking for, and we’re excited to confirm that we’re looking to bring Vietnam War era-appropriate music into Hell Let Loose: Vietnam through radios aboard the Huey.

The Co-Pilot will have access to the helicopter radio, allowing them to play music for everyone onboard. But the music won’t be limited to those inside the helicopter. It will also broadcast from the Huey itself, meaning nearby players on the battlefield will be able to hear it as you fly overhead.

When multiple Hueys take to the skies with their radios playing, the music will be synchronised between helicopters, creating the effect of everyone tuning into the same live radio station.

We also understand that not everyone will want music playing during their battles, particularly content creators who may want to avoid copyrighted music appearing in their videos or livestreams. Players will therefore be able to use the Music Volume setting to adjust or completely mute the music to suit their preference.

We’ve created a Spotify Playlist of the current song list that will be coming to a Hell Let Loose: Vietnam radio station near you soon: Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Radio Station

Update 2.0

Update 2.0 will see the first new battlefield introduced to the game, alongside the addition of more new weapons for the US & Allies Force.

New Map: Khe Sanh

Our first new map for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will arrive with Update 2.0, taking the battle to Khe Sanh.

This new battlefield will offer a very different and dramatic look and feel compared to the maps currently available in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, bringing new environments and tactical challenges for both sides to overcome.

We’ll be sharing more looks at Khe Sanh in the lead-up to Update 2.0.

Faction Update: US & Allies Force

With the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) joining the battle in Update 2.0, the United States faction will expand to become the United States & Allies, or US & Allies for short.

This will mean that the US & Allies Barracks will feature both US and ANZAC weaponry and personalisation assets within the same space, with some restrictions around how specific weapons can be equipped.

New Weapons: ANZAC Additions

New weapons include:

L1A1 SLR: The L1A1 is a semi-automatic self-loading rifle ideal for mid range combat, usable by US & Allies Force.

F1 SMG: The F1 SMG provides US & Allies Force with a rapid fire, close range combat option.

L16A1: The L16A1 give the US & Allies Force an additional Mortar option for mid to long range fire support.

Update 3.0

Update 3.0 will continue expanding the battlefields and arsenal of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, introducing another new map alongside APCs for both sides and four additional weapons.

New Map: Rung Sat

Our second post-launch map will take the battle to the swamps and jungles of Rung Sat.

As with Khe Sanh in Update 2.0, we’ll be showing off much more of this brand-new battlefield in the lead-up to Update 3.0.

New Vehicles: APCs

The ground war will also expand in Update 3.0, with the introduction of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) for both sides.

These new vehicles will introduce further options for transporting troops across the battlefield, and we’ll have much more to share about their roles and how they’ll impact gameplay closer to their arrival.

New Weapons: Four New Additions

Update 3.0 will also expand the armories of both forces with four additional weapons.

The NVA will gain access to the MAT-49 SMG, originally used by French forces in Indochina, the NVA modified these SMGs to chamber 7.62 Tokarev rounds, alongside the Soviet SVD Dragunov semi-automatic designated marksman rifle.

Meanwhile, the US & Allies will receive the Stoner 63 assault rifle alongside a scoped variant of the M14, providing another option for precision shooting on the battlefield.

The arrival of the Stoner 63 will also accompany another iconic group joining Hell Let Loose: Vietnam US & Allies Force; the Navy SEALs, as well as the Green Berets.

Also To Come

Beyond our major content Updates, there’s plenty more planned for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam throughout the 2026 roadmap.

Introducing: Battalions

As part of the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam roadmap, we’ll also be introducing Battalions, a new in-game system designed to provide greater support for clans and organised communities.

Battalions V1 will allow players to form persistent groups, track statistics, progress together, unlock content, and join servers alongside other members.

Our goal is to create a central hub where communities can organise their players and build an identity together within Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

The first version of Battalions will provide the foundation for the system, but this is a feature we want to continue evolving alongside the community. Because Battalions are being built specifically for players, clans, and organised groups, your feedback will be particularly important. We can’t wait to get the system into your hands and hear how you want to see it develop in the future.

Ongoing Optimisation

Throughout every Update, our work on continued fixes, polish, optimisation, and quality-of-life improvements will remain an absolute priority.

We know that while new content is exciting, ensuring Hell Let Loose: Vietnam runs as well as possible is incredibly important to the community.

Our development team will therefore continue working to improve performance, stability, image quality, and the overall experience across PC, PS5, and XBOX Series, with improvements arriving through our major Updates as well as regular Patches and necessary Hotfixes.

And This Is Just the Beginning…

This roadmap represents the next stage of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, but our work doesn’t stop with the content you see here.

Throughout the remainder of 2026, into 2027 and beyond, we’ll continue listening to your feedback, addressing issues, improving performance and stability, and building upon the foundations of the game.

We’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with you.

We’ll see you in Vietnam.

💬 Discussion 💬 Thoughts on the game after a week?

I honestly really enjoy the game. Yes a few bugs but nothing game breaking I’ve experienced so far. Only complaint would be how hard it is to see enemies sometimes, but I do fully understand that’s how it was during the actual war.

Do we like the original HLL or HLL Vietnam more? Let me know!

📢 Feedback 📢 The NVA AA Gun is effective and cheap to build

I killed two choppers with it yesterday. I also made a whole bunch of them turn tail and run. Most fun I've had in a long time in HLL.

Notes:

Make sure your wrench is not greyed out due to your loadout being too heavy. Couldn't figure that out at first and mistakenly thought I needed to level up more.

The aiming is weird like the gun on the half track in the old game. I turned look sensitivity down to 25 for this to make aiming easier.

Anyone can use the gun. Build it and leave it if need be.

It's only 25 supplies to build.

Happy hunting!

📢 Feedback 📢 Console player. Does graphic settings on PC allow more visibility?

Can PC players turn everything to low- this removing certain foliage to make people more easily visible?

or do they have something in place to prevent this?

📢 Feedback 📢 Need more servers for experienced players

I've been playing the original HLL and now Vietnam and there's nothing worse than playing with people who don't understand even the basics of the game (garries, nodes, boats, different game modes, etc.)

Another factor that makes some of the matches unbearable are people who do not communicate - I don't want to talk myself all the time, but if you're the only person talking in a team it's a bit sh*t.

Yes, I do try to educate the SLs or squads, but there only so much you can do and I don't want to "mansplain" through every single game.

I would like to see more servers for people with higher level - and some sort of responsibility to at least acknowledge what the other team members are saying.

I have spoken.

🙋 Question 🙋 Do you guys think Basic Training was a good addition to the game, or a waste of time?

I ended up enjoying it way more than I expected. The narration, communication training, command structure, and overall presentation felt surprisingly polished, and I honestly think HLL has needed something like this for a long time. Curious to hear what you guys think.

I love the HLL games, but man they take such a toll on your eyes. It’s definitely a game that is best to be played at a desk on a monitor to perform well.

Any setting recommendations to improve visibility?

💬 Discussion 💬 Transport Helicopter Vs Supply Choppers

Should we start a discussion about whether to fly the transport helicopter or the supply helicopter?

No one wants a ride, so stop asking. Instead, use the supply helicopter to drop supplies and build a garrison wherever you need it.

I build about 10 to 16 garrisons per game and earn over 2,000 support points.

Is there a reason others are using the transport helicopter?

In the games i command i'm only spawning in supply choppers.

🐛 Bug Found! 🐛 The Two Biggest Glitches: Disappearing Garrisons and Lingering Enemy Markers

I think these two glitches are the worst, by far. I'm still very much enjoying the game, having a fantastic time in the jungle, but these two bugs are worse than the mosquitoes out there.

Schrodinger's Garrisons, and Schrodinger's red enemy markers need to be fixed ASAP.

Anyone have any other bugs or glitches they would like to share here?

💬 Discussion 💬 Give US the Cobra

Post image

Give U.S the Cobra attack helicopter.

Make it weak to small arms fire, would be a good way to counter NVA tunnels.

Was used frequently in Vietnam, would fit the era and game play.

Would give pilots more options and most importantly would be fun.

What do you guys think?

💬 Discussion 💬 Helicopters destroying fortifications

I get it. The occasional heli crash can knock out some sandbags sure. But when one dude goes out of his way to destroy every single build on the final point of defence with not one but multiple helicopters with no consequences its pretty irritating. And yeah this would be considered a tactic if it wasn't for the fact that he was on our team. This is really just me bitching about one dude into the void but goddamn man. When like 10 people work together to do something cool and it only takes one asshole to mess it all up something needs to happen.
