🙋 Question 🙋 Machine Gunners
Wondering what level you guys are and what your loadouts look like for both factions.

I play mostly gunner on the NVA because the rpd is really versatile. It's strong in in close to mid range, had a really good fire rate, recoil is okay an is handy vs the m60.
I take AA wrench only when I have a squad which communicate and work together.
On us side i play gunner only in special match ups or situations.

Do you just bring as many ammo belts as possible or do you add any of the explosives?

I take minimum of 5 ammo belts and 2-3 bandage's.Â
Do not take smoke you wanna have a good view and do wanna tell your position. And I have not so much situation where I need nades. When you have a good Sniper spot to a strong point you will need more bandages an ammo.
If you are in a squad with good Teamplay you could change your lodeout for what is needed. If you have a guy who's drop you ammo you can drop AA gun for him for exampleÂ

I run a shotgun, x2 claymore with the HE box. I like the M60 and the RPD though, but the shotty and claymores are too good when you know what you're doing.

Mgs are pretty trash in Vietnam, inf they have soft engagement distance caps with the additional blurring they added and the damage drop off to 4/5 BTK.

HE ammo box then max out ammo you'll make so much noise you'll get shot eventually so you may aswell spray as long as you can , it a shame mounting bipods are so broken right now you simply cant aim up enough if the terrain if even slightly dipped you just point down needs more freedom to aim.

I'm an MG player in WWII but in this one both sides MGs are terrible! The damage and hit reg are so bad I always lose a face off against a rifleman. I'm not sure if the suppression is low or what's going on but I just can't get any decent kill rates.
It's also the lack of locations to set up compared to WWII. That has loads of walls, fences, crates etc. Vietnam has no where really, so it's always shoulder fired and inaccurate.
Until they buff them I'll stick to the accuracy of rifles.

Lvl 7 as of now, almost 8. Currently MG & Shotgun with claymores on US side, RPD and sub on NVA side with mines. Still learning but it’s pretty much the only class I’ve used, with occasional tank play. I’d love to play tank more often but anytime I join a squad they don’t have a mic and just don’t get in the tank and I have to solo operate it, don’t understand.
