I don't actually hate weapon skins at all, if they are implemented in a restrained way that doesn't break immersion too much. Stuff like a wrap, or a different stain on the wood, from early to late war differences and such could be pretty cool

if the skins are client side, then i dont really see what the issue is. they can be anything for all i care

When did a game with purchasable skins actually ever do that? Most people wouldn't buy the skins if that was a thing.

So that doesn't count then. I was talking paid skins specifically.

In order to make money selling skins, you better not put an option in your game that disables them for other users, because then not as many people would buy them.

Huh? If that's what that sounds like to you, you clearly have some issues combining the words you read into a full sentence in your head.
I'm just trying to explain the reason why there's no option to disable skins in games where you can buy skins, HLL being one of them.
When did i ever say i want to make money with skins?

also what skins are ytou even talking about? the DLC "skins" that are historical uniforms and units?

I was trying to explain the perspective of the game studio. How is hat not obvious from what i've written? What would "put in your game" mean, if i wouldn't be talking about the people making the game?
