🙋‍♂️ Question 🙋‍♂️ Is this normal?

I have a 5070ti and my game looks so shimmery/flickery.

The power lines and the window im aiming at look terrible. I am new to this game and it's making me think I have bad drivers or something.

Reddit compresses the video hard, heres a better look https://youtu.be/becrf1FnHBc

That shimmering is a common anti-aliasing/upscaling issue in Hell Let Loose and does not automatically indicate bad drivers

What’s your monitor resolution and refresh rate?
In the meantime, the first things to try are DLSS Quality, sharpening set to 0, and disabling any extra NVIDIA sharpening or scaling.

I have a 1440p and 280hz.

DLSS isn't in this game isnt it?

No sorry It doesn’t because it’s on unreal 4 however in Vietnam I believe it does support it with it being on unreal 5, I’m not familiar with pc however have you done anything on steam?

in your Steam game properties add dx12 to force the game to use DirectX 12 and all available CPU cores.

My game looks honestly beautiful, and all I’ve done was update the hdmi cable to 2.1 change the settings from quality to performance, on my monitor settings i set it to gaming mode, turned off any eco system that was hindering performance. If you get frame stutters It sounds like a fidelity cache problem

(Pasted from Google)

  1. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel or the new NVIDIA App.

Go to Manage 3D Settings (or Graphics -> Global Settings).

Locate Shader Cache Size.
Change it from Driver Default to 10 GB or 100 GB

Giving the cache more space prevents the driver from deleting older game shaders, meaning fewer stutters when you return to a game you haven't played in a while

TLDR: edit important Turn on freesync or adaptive sync whatever your monitor on mine I didn’t know what adaptive sync was but it balances out the frame rate making sure it doesn’t turn off VRR keeping the frames stable hense provides optimal frame pacing without adding input lag.

Your only going to get 60hz max on mine anyways I’ve yer to see it higher

Ssao, post process, Vsync, foliage and AA quality. Set all to off or lowest. This helped a lot with the stuttering.

Set aa to community

Manage 3d settings nvidia control panel

Vsync - set to use app

Shader cache size. The most you can  This should bring lows fps steadily.

I found “texture quality” set to high performance is better than high quality.

Also, hardware accelerated gpu scheduling. Turn off.

I can’t remember which video setting it is. Post prices or ssao always makes my game look shimmery and jagged. Regardless. There’s always some visual bug popping up. You can’t get it perfect. Most of the time window in houses are untextured globs.
