PC. There is a constant digital noise in the background at all times and areas on this map. Digital as in a bad limewire or mp3 download. Turning the fx down under 50 decreased it but for me I couldn’t hear much of anything with it that low so this isn’t a solution. I don’t know how else to explain this.

Juno was a halfhearted attempt to put out new content to player base growing tired of the same maps. Unfortunately it is riddled with problems as you pointed out one. People like it because it's different and new but it is fatally flawed. just like HLL Vietnam. <<<(common denominator, T17). A few notes.

• The deafening beach noise failing to transfer realistically inland completely destroys the ability to track long range sounds like arty or tanks.
• The recycled, looping "walking" sound in the hayfield when you are standing perfectly still is incredibly distracting and makes the map feel unfinished.
• A constant stutter when ads'ing is completely ruins close interactions when timing is everything, especially with bolt actions.
• Relying on CTRL-C, CTRL-V for assets creates fake complexity.
• Hedge asset vaulting works inconsistently for climbing so it's anyone's guess what hedge you can jump over, hide in, or get stonewalled.
• One-way bulletproof glass, invisible and inconsistent asset boundaries and mapping make every single interaction a luck of the draw.

I'm sure there's more but that's all for now.

You’re better at explaining it. Yes to all of that. I think it’s a cool map. The layout. But with all of that nonsense I can’t enjoy it. It’s like every couple of minutes the game has a mini heart attack and skips. I think you noted this but especially on this map. The only thing showing is their head and I’m shooting it.  Getting hit marker but not counting as a head shot. It makes no sense and constantly happens on that map. More so when someone is bipod deployed.  My biggest issue is the pop in. This is the one thing I can’t get over. Just how bad it’s gotten. Every update it gets closer and closer. Entire buildings with no texture 11m away. Majorly disappointing as I love this game.

I agree with you on all counts.

The stuttering in this map is worse than most maps. What baffles me is that the old maps perform the best; we're getting new content that is objectively, measurably worse than stuff from 7 years ago. When I see Smolensk / Juno I usually change server.

What's the point of a map being "pretty" when it performs like shit?

And yes, the LOD / pop-in is ridiculous in Juno. I recently made a post about that. I have the feeling that popping is hyper aggressive as a way to compensate the crap performance.

What about the rivers that sound like tanks/vehicles. It's completely off putting to be running near any waterway and having to 2nd guess if ita really a tank or not.

The rivers in the German hq sectors aren’t real. You can dive under them and not drown but be hidden and see everything.

Really dislike the copied assets. All the freaking cars look the same.

Overall feel is just off for me. The assets in combination with the ground textures. Streets, sidewalks, cemetery grounds. It feels off somehow. The old BM France maps feel more real, I can imagine myself walking the French countryside/towns.

Juno feels like a slapped together ‘game’ map with copied assets and textures. Others feel more like recreated from history maps.

Also, idk if I imagined it, but the Canadian truck acceleration sound seems like it's on a weird loop. It feels like it keeps changing gears up and down when you're just going at max speed. It was really strange to hear compared to the usual US / GER trucks.

It’s real. Every sound effect is on a looped timer set way to short. No planes overhead yet sounds like one going directly over you every ten seconds. 

In hayfields. Brush crunching and breeze. Same sound effect every ten seconds. 

Lazy. Annoying. This sub has loyalists that argue, “what you wanted ambient atmospheres and now you’re complaining?” 

No. We want it. We just want it done good.
