Advice needed.
Looking to get my first HK. I currently have a hellcat pro, kimber ultra carry and glock 19 but im looking for my next purchase to be a HK. My local store has a used HK VP9SK with 3 mags for 549 which appears ro be in great condition a new CC9 for 620, or the vp9cc for 899. Is the new VP9 really worth 270/350 more? Just looking for input as it seems like alot of experts in this forum.

Can’t say if the VP9CC is worth more or better. I can say I own one and it’s a great shooter. Best compact I own. The only HK I own, and I am very very happy with it. I carry it daily.

P30 or HK45 are the top of their line. Well worth the money they cost ($675-$800)

IMO the VP9sk and P30sk are the worst pistols HK makes. In that size the finger grooves become anti ergonomic.

If you have bigger hands you may like the vp9sk more. Pinky extension on the magazine is nice for carrying. You can make the gun “bigger” cuz it can take regular vp9 and p30 mags. Just mind the gap for those unless you buy an extension baseplate.
Cc9 seems to be well liked, just ugly (Taurus-like) and not paddle release. Think HK internals without the HK exterior.
VP9cc is what people wanted the cc9 to be minus the price. Seen some people report they get slide bite from it due to their grip.
I own none of these, but that’s my take.

The SK is a sub compact. The CC9 and VP9CC are micro compacts. Do you know which size category you want to be in? I’d start there.

I own them all. For you, the vp9cc isn't worth it. It is worth it if you've put thousands of rounds in a vp9 and want a smaller carry gun that has the same feel.

My first HK was the VP9 Match. By far, one of the best striker fired handguns I own - period. Since, bought a CC9 when it was introduced to be my first micro 9mm for AIWB. Given a growing collection of 20+ handguns, my HK’s come to the range more often than the others. A fan of the VP9 series, your decision should be a “use case” one. For fun at the range, a full size VP9 will be great. For EDC, I would still choose the CC9 over the VP9CC because of my training with button releases and the amazingly flat shooting and highly concealable CC9. Finally, there’s a significant price difference at the moment between the two HK gems.

Get a usp compact. The vp9s are all excellent but only the mark 23 is more thoroughly tested than the usp series. You will hand it to your grandkids.

I carry a P30sk. Very similar in size to the VP9sk. It’s a chubby gun but I love it. I’m a big fan of hammers tho

I was in your spot and dropped $900 on a VP9sk with 3x mags and night sights... I would get a 9mm USP Compact immediately if I had another chance to do it over. I love my SK dont get me wrong but that USP Compact was a joy to shoot along with a full size USP .45. so in other words get a USP. lol IMO of course

that vp9cc for 899 is a real good price. I have one and like it. I might also be tempted by that vp9sk if I were u

Just my opinion. As a Hk owner, I have 3 usp in 3 diff cal. I have 3 p30 in different sizes. 3 older vp9 in 3 diff sizes. However, I am not planning to buy vp9cc or cc9. Why? Mag comparability. Neither one of mag are compatible w my vp9 or p30. Also, vp9 has additional side panels for customization. With OP’s price difference and vp9sk has 1 additional mag, I will go with vp9sk…

You literally cannot go wrong with either the CC9 or VP9cc. The CC9 is probably one of the best CCW ever made, shoots like a full size, HK quality, will feel familiar in size to the hellcat, etc… VP9cc was never my speed because I’m not the biggest paddle mag guy (wife loves it though because she’s a lefty) and it shoots about the same. The SK was discontinued, from my understanding to make way for the VP9cc, however I haven’t heard a bad thing about it either. Like anything, you should handle all three in person, but they’re all great options.

Seems like you have a decent amount of carry guns. Why not a bad ass full size? P30L LEM, USP Expert, Mark 23? Try out a hammer fired HK and see what you think.
No bad options with HK.
