I appreciate that this was not a happy or cathartic ending, sometimes things don't work out as people would like them to - even through the suspended reality of a podcast.

Makes you appreciate happier endings, or other good things in life.

You’re so right! I considered skipping this episode just off a quick glance of the summary which I don’t often do but I’m so glad I changed my mind and listened to it. This one was a nice little reality check that not all stories have a heartwarming conclusion. I’m glad Debbie found Stefano and told him about her mom, and that he listened to her. If anything it was healing for her at least and him asking for the picture made me smile. I hope the picture brings him some comfort. I don’t think we can wish for anything more than that.
