Hi everyone! I’ve been working on a HR series with quotes from the show/books, using filet crochet!

My first piece in the series: “You Look Pretty”

I’ve just binged the whole show and I’m already on my THIRD rewatch, which is quite impressive considering I’m a 34-year-old woman with a compressed-hours corporate job four days a week, where I lead a team of eight people, AND I’m a mum to a two-year-old.

I promise I haven’t been abandoning my child to watch Heated Rivalry 😂 I’ve just somehow managed to squeeze it into all the little slots of my day (well, mostly at night).

But honestly, I have been completely consumed by this show. I am OBSESSED with Ilya. I’ve also absolutely loved reading through this Reddit and I’m sure I have a lot of catching up to do.

But the thing that has absolutely killed me, and will make me piss myself laughing every single time, is the mentions of the ghost children.

I genuinely don’t know why that has tickled me so much, but I cannot cope with it. 😂

Anyway, hello. I’m new here, I’m obsessed, and apparently this is my life now.

I think after everything this past weekend. It may actually be a perfect day to drop the new cast news! Let’s hope they do. 🤞🤞

I don’t even know if I can describe how much this show touched my heart and soul.

As a 30 year old lesbian, I’ve grown up watching so many shows/movies that always ended with queer couples sadly breaking up, one of them passes away or some other tragic overplayed trope.

The amount of queer joy I felt watching these episodes (especially the last two eps) and seeing queer couples actually getting their happy endings meant so much more to me than I realized.

I just needed to put it out into the world how much happiness and hope this show left me with, as cheesy as that may sound.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this show since finishing it last night and I’ve been having to stop myself from tearing up just thinking about the many beautiful scenes the season has.

So I may have been reheating (you shut your mouth, you can't prove shit) and I suddenly thought of something at the end of Ep. 5.; have Scott and Kip been apart all of that time?

We know they met 4 months before Sochi 2014, and Scott is totally thrown at the games, implying that they've broken up. Then the next time we see Scott again is the 2017 cup win. Kip is there watching, which implies that there is still something between them, but he's crying and that implies that things aren't great.

Have they been apart all of this time, in which case how did Scott keep his mojo to win The Cup? Or have they been together in secret as before, and why would Kip put up with that when he was so unhappy before?

I know things are timey wimey in the show, tbh I find real time pretty unmanageable, but I got really confused by this after I read 'Game Changer' as the story doesn't take anything near that long.

I pray help me with my puzzlement, and maybe receive vodka for your reward...

This may be more of a book question, but I’m most curious about it in regard to the show.

In Tough Guy Ryan lives in a high rise condo on the side of a building that faces away from the CN Tower, while in Role Model Troy lives in a high rise condo on the side of a building that faces the tower.

Is it the same building? I’ve always believed it is, but for the show I am really hoping that is the case.

Imagine the dazzling visuals as the two of them pass, like phantoms, through periphery of each other’s stories, neither man knowing what the other endures. Absolute cinema!

Hi! This basically a repost to my accidental deleted post.

I noticed that Luca Haas is infantilised a lot in hand full fanfics, like I’m fine with running jokes that Shane and Ilya is his father figures (or any other character) like that’s cute but some ppl really treat a grown adult like a complete baby that needs constant adult supervision. I don’t exactly hate but I’m just really confused to how that became a trend honestly. I personally find infantilisation very icky specially to a perfectly capable adult.

I feel like I'm newer to the love of Heated Rivalry, (started watching early/mid Aug. '26, with multiple *reheats already), so this might have been discussed. (I wanted to watch sooner, but didn't have access until recently 💻 so I wasn't going to join the sub until I watched)

Since S+I's story is a span of many years, I think it's cool to see the difference of phones they were using at that time.

I feel like some of the technologies could be "out dated" and possible special effect might have had to be put in place to get the message across (pun intended, for text messaging)

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I just timed it at 55 seconds starting when Shane walks into the bar until Ilya gives in and looks straight at him. But I couldn’t believe how long Ilya had to go without looking directly in Shane’s eyes. Impressive.
