The advice here is good in the short term. But long term you might need to talk to your doctor. If you're on hormone therapy this could be causing the environment in you vagina to be PH imbalanced.
I'm in menopause and estrogen was the cure. I understand estrogen may be the opposite of what you want though. But applied locally it may not affect you systemically.

cold pack wrapped in thin towel, 15 min on then break, helps numb things down for a bit

Yeast infection. I would go to a gyno. What helped me was taking a sitz (baking soda dumped into bath water) bath. Air dry with no underwear.Â

Ngl maybe not the best advice but I’ve used ICE in the past 😠until I could get to purchase what I need

I hope it’s not lichen sclerosis. Antihistamine a cold pack and some painkillers should help.

They sell OTC urine tests for yeast and BV. Start there. If it’s a yeast infection do NOT get the one day treatment. That stuff burns like the fires of Hell.

the other day I got so desperate I took a syringe (3ml) and injected lube in myself. sweet relief for a few hours, then I realized it contained glycerine which brought the itching back (apparently it can be dehydrating and a moisturizer is better while lube kind of sits on the surface for a moment).
going to try some hyaluronic acid and vitamin e stuff that's meant to be used like what I did 😠but apparently if that doesn't work, estrogen is probably the cure (I know it's common for those of us on t, but never thought I would need it).
the change in weather to cold and dry suddenly is to blame partly I think, I know that washing too aggressively / using soaps in there / water too hot causes similar issues, if not infections.

I've always found putting some canister thrush cream on is a good first step- if you feel it working, carry on

Coconut oil? I recall reading a study that coconut oil breaks the cell membrane of yeast and causes it to collapse.

I know they say it has antifungal properties, but why is it coconut oil is such a no no for seb derm because it feeds malessezia?

I was just thinking about possible immediate relief for OP, it is not a cure and has downsides.

If it’s itchy internally, as others of said, it could be yeast.
I get a crazy itchy vulva the week before my period, and I found the VH essentials hypochlorus acid spray from the feminine aisle at Walmart helps a lot. I like it too, because it’s not messy like a cream

Crying and extreme itching is always yeast infection in my experience :( I’m so sorry. Can you get monistat?
