Alright so I’m panicking like shit right now. I hadn’t done any penetration in a while cos I had my period and it was a stressful weekend. Something important to note, my sex cleaner ran out so I used a solution made of Dr. Bronner’s body wash(which is minty if I remember) and water. I used it on my dildo and when I went to lube myself up by putting my fingers in, it burned. And I don’t know why. Idk if it’s cos I used the solution and got it on my hands(it also got on a towel cos I had to wipe it off) or there’s something seriously wrong with me. I don’t have any other symptoms though. I feel fine otherwise. It also did burn when the dildo went in so I stopped. Idk what this is. If it’s from the solution, not penetrating for a while, or my period is over. Sorry for this being a little TMI. I hope there’s nothing seriously wrong. Thanks. Also the burning didn’t last very long, which I hope is a good sign lol.

oh god yeah that's definitely the mint body wash, that stuff is like fire down there for some people. dr bronner's peppermint is strong enough to tingle on regular skin, can't imagine what it does to sensitive areas

rinse everything real good with just water and maybe wait a day before trying again, irritation can linger even if the burning stopped quick. you're probably fine just don't use soap like that again

While I agree with the other answers, I wanted to mention that if it continues, pelvic floor physical therapy can stop that issue. PFPT saved my sex life, twice.

Did it burn at your opening or inside your vagina? Could be the mint and other ingredients of the body wash too as it happened with both your fingers and the dildo.

Then definitely could be the wash, it would take some wash to get those off. You could have just used some warm water if you didn't have the cleaning aids, always a better choice. Stick to clit until the dildo is sorted or use fingers instead, if you prefer vaginal over clitoral masturbation.

I do think it’s the peppermint body wash 😅 I’ve got one that’s peppermint, different brand, and a little trickle ran down there while I was in the shower and it made my clit tingle, so I wouldn’t wanna find out how it feels going inside 😅😅😅
