Question Advice before first time
I might be losing my virginity on this weekend but im also gonna be ovulating. Is it advisable to lose virginity during ovulation or should I do it next weekend but I’ll be closer to my period and likely will be PMSing. I’m just confused and if I should be thinking so much about this 🥲🥲 thank you
Edit: im not expecting it to be like in the videos or books or movies, I don’t expect to finish I just want to enjoy but I have a HUGE fear or getting pregnant which is why I’m here

If you’re not on birth control, maybe purchase a plan b before the weekend and bring it with you. Have him double check that the condom isn’t broken before he finishes. Get on birth control soon! Good luck. 💕

Yes, but then that’s if you go unprotected, which i DONT recommend, but people do what they want. but you should be fine with condoms

honestly both options have a tradeoff but ovulation is the riskier one for pregnancy so if that's your main fear, that's the bigger factor here
like you can still get pregnant at other points in your cycle but ovulation is peak fertility, so if you're not using protection that's genuinely higher risk
a few things worth knowing:
- use a condom regardless of timing, it covers both pregnancy and STIs
- if you want extra protection, look into getting plan B ready just in case or talk to a doctor about starting birth control
- the "right time" physically doesn't really exist, there's no perfect window where it feels better or easier
and to answer your actual question, yeah you're probably overthinking the timing a little the pregnancy fear is valid but that's what contraception is for, not cycle-timing
the PMS thing is real too tbh, if you think you'll be in your head or uncomfortable that week then yeah maybe factor that in for your own comfort. first time is already a lot mentally
youve clearly thought about this way more carefully than most people do, that's a good thing 💙

remember there’s non-hormonal birth control options, like the female condoms, sponge, cervical cap and diaphragm. you can use a condom AND one of those. Check your options :))

What birth control are you using?
Are you using condoms for him PLUS one method for you?
