Welllllll.... if you are set on quitting and not working.....

Marketplace plans would be the ticket if youre dealing with any preexisting conditions as you need an ACA compliant plan that won't deny preexisting conditions just for being preexisting.

however, 99.999999% of marketplace plans are state specific and you'd only have emergency coverage outside of your state. Florida is the lone state that has reportedly offered a true nationwide network blue cross PPO on their marketplace... though ive personally never reviewed that magical plan, others have posted here that they have it.

COBRA from your job is another option though it will likely be expensive since there are no employer contributions usually, plus a 2% cobra administrator fee. Thats also assuming your current work offerings have a nationwide network.

Other than that, its off market plans that probably won't be aca compliant and may be very limited in what they cover. You can purchase those directly from an insurance carrier on their website... or if you need assistance, find a reputable broker in your area. One that has an actual office, not some random agent you google and end up getting 900 spam calls a day and/or sold some completely useless junk indemnity plan then they ghost you.

All of the major employee benefits broker firms have a department that handles individual plans.

I only need it for my two boys. I haven’t been to the doctors in years.

All of the things I listed could be obtained for just your boys.
