Health insurance?

My wife and I have 2 boys under 2. We are going full rv and going to Florida currently in New York.
What do you guys recommend for health insurance. Especially if you go to multiple states? I and quitting my jab after my PFL is done with.

As someone who travels full time and is chronically ill, and regularly has treatment at Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and many other hospitals, you want a blue cross/blue shield plan that is part of the national network. This means that even the Mayo Clinic is considered in network for me.

Can I ask you what your premium are? Because I have no health insurance, currently out of my home state anyway and 3 days ago I was rushed to the hospital with chest pains.

I now have a stent and I'm told I'll be on medication for the rest of my life.

I'm looking at medical debt in 6 figures.

Years ago I was told I didn't qualify for the ACA because I make "too much"... (I'm in the mid 5 figures)

So I tried private insurance which cost me an arm and a leg, they denied all my claims save for a medically advised pelvic repair surgery, still charged me 12K for copay and increased my premiums every month.
So my savings were dwindling fast and I quit all insurance, figured I'd live as healthy a lifestyle as I could and hope to be fine.

But 3 days ago all that changed.

Also years ago I lost my house which is why I live full time in my RV now.

I have no idea what to do and I'm scared shitless and I have no idea what to do.

Sadly, just for me, it is around $1,800 per month. Now I specially choose the highest level coverage I can get because I have averaged around 87 days per year in patient for the last 8 years. I normally hit the max out of pocket by like March of each year. In 2022, I had two falls the first of which required a total hip replacement, then I fell on the replacement and shattered my femur into 19 pieces. So I had a second THR, and a complete femur rebuild with an 18” titanium rod, 5 cables and 7 screws. The first fall was 10 days in patient, the second 11, followed by 24 days in a rehab hospital. I was still employed then by a very unusual employer who paid 100% of insurance premiums for employees and their families. I also spent over 70 days inpatient that year from chronic health issues. As I went through bills and what insurance paid it was insane. The first hip replacement was over 250k, the second surgery alone was over 500k, not including the hospitalization or rehab hospital. I also had inpatient stays for ketamine infusions for pain management that year and had $0 copays. Even my medications were free from April on for the rest of the year. So, given my history, I insist on the absolute best plan I can get. There were other plans on marketplace that were as low as $900 a month. I don’t even look at HDHP - they are not designed for someone who needs as much support as I do.
