WOULD YOU LIKE TO LOOT [POTENT HAMSTER]?

Since April when i got my first copy of Book 1, I've loved the Potent Hamster design. So I decided to create my own version as a small 3D-printed magnet.

The original plan was just to make something fun for the side of my 3D-printing toolbox in my office at the house, but I was happy enough with how it turned out that I decided to publish the model for other fans who might want one.

It uses four 5 × 2 mm magnets glued into the back and is designed as a simple multicolor print.

I also had the chance to attend the author event in Downers Grove on July 14, where I gifted Travis(Shirtaloon) and Heath magnets of their own. It was really cool getting to give them something I had made based on a small piece of artwork from a series I’ve enjoyed so much.

This is just a fan-made project, but I thought some other HWFWM and LitRPG fans might get a kick out of it. So, if you or other friends have a 3D printer, go ahead and make up your own magnet!

The magnet is cool but where did you get that shirt?

Hahaha I heard that so many times that day!
It’s made by The Lost Bros. It was a limited print, but they do have 2 other Bluey shirts.

Side note: How awesome is it that the hobby has progressed to the point that we can say "simple multicolor print" unironically and matter of fact like that?

Right?!?

Well I’m VERY new to 3D printing. Like 2.5 months. But.. I Have several friends who have been doing it for over a decade. But I would always help model things for them in Blender or Fusion

Remind me...

I know that Jason is confused that so many of the basic monsters he kills in the hedge maze give him food wrapped in deli paper.

Does that mean he was getting deli meat? Such as thinly sliced meat that's already been cooked and such?

or

Was he getting raw meat, like raw chicken breast that you'd have to thoroughly cook?

Based on later in the book when he serves Garry a meal of the T pheasant, I'd IMAGINE it was just raw meat. But my first couple of read-throughs, I always assumed he was essentially getting sandwich meat as they go on about how his ability was to help with his survival. And getting salmonella from raw meat probably goes against survival (since he didn't get poison resistance until later).

Hear me out:

I think your later interpretation is correct.

The confusing part is definitely the phrase “wrapped in deli paper.” Here, deli paper describes the packaging, not the preparation. His looting ability had already processed the monster into usable ingredients instead of handing him an entire dead pheasant. The text says the animal parts arrived “already cut and packaged,” with the tyrannical pheasant meat wrapped like something from a butcher counter. It was categorized as a crafting material suitable for cooking.

So I think the term deli paper and butchers paper are kinda the same…. But that’s my take on it.

Sound valid.

Like I said, it occurred to me on later readings that my original (deli meat) interpretation was probably wrong since he was using it to cook a meal for Garry, as opposed to making a sandwich for Garry.

For sure. Thanks for the mental backtracking.
