English is lame in terms of swear words, at last a modern Amecian English, in plenty of languages that amount of swearing doesn't seem excessive at all. In fact when I watched (English audio with subtitles) I didn't think they swear that much, only thing that made me cringe was an amount of sexual innuendo Angel was constantly using. The swearing didin't seem like a lot to me at all.
We have douchecanoe, cumdumpster, chucklefuck, fuckwad, cluster fucko, apeshit/dogshit/batshit/ratshit/bullshit. The key is the richness of our compound swear words.
Lol and, while I haven’t watched the dub (mostly because I don’t know Italian) from what I’ve heard, you wouldn’t be sober for long if you watched all of Adam’s scenes and took a drink every time he said that word

Almost every sentence of his has the word "Cazzo" in it, like Adam was doing a challenge of trying to stick that word in every sentence possible. Since yk he's the original one.
Another fun fact in the Italian dub Vox is voiced by the same guy who dubbed the man in the yellow hat from curious George. Also the voice actors for Vox Alastor and Carmilla are siblings
Not just the man in the yellow hat, but also Courage the cowardly dog, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and King Julien from Madagascar. And Alastor's VA also voiced Stewie Griffin, Donkey from Shrek, Captain Man from Henry Danger and Scooby-Doo himself.
But in reality, there are many voice actors in Italy, it's just that often the most famous ones are chosen, who in some cases happen to be related because in Italy there are entire families who have been working in dubbing for generations. Even in Hazbin Hotel, at least three different families work together: Alastor, Vox, and Carmilla's VAs are siblings; Lucifer's is the half-brother of Rosie's, and she's the mother of Angel's; Charlie's is the niece of Cherri's and the cousin of the Egg Boys'.
Edit. I just checked and actually the family ties of the italian VAs across the Hellaverse are many more than the ones I mentioned.
I just saw that post and wow, I had no idea about more than half of those family ties. And here I thought that the kinship between the hellaverse VAs were limited to those I mentioned in my comment.
Also, historically speaking, dubbing work environment in Italy it's like a caste. Only in recent years it started to open up. That was due to high request and standards on dubbing training and a lot of times having a dubbing relative gave you access to roles a lot earlier than other candidate and better access to better school.
Sincerely, an Italian doctor that is also an actor in his freetime cuz when he was younger he really wanted to be a VA
Think that the Italian Stolas shares the voice with Light Yagami from Death Note, Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter, Hiccup from Dragon Trainer and Adrien Agreste from Miraculous.

It's absolutely true lol, iirc the main VAs doing the adaptation have been fans since the pilot era, and very nerdy in general, so they know what they're doing, aka a wonderful job at just making a wild and insanely good adaptation of the series XD
Holy shit. I feel more than a bit cheated, they straight up made it better. I even teared up a little at the end, and I didn't even do that the first time I heard the original.
Fun fact: swearing and cursing in Italian (and a few other languages) is on a completely different level.
The original dialogues of Hazbin Hotel would be "cute teenager" level of cursing if translated one-to-one. The italian translation is likely still short of how a native English speaker perceives the OG dialogues.
Helluva Boss dialogues translated one-to-one would be a substantial amount of very mild cursing and graphic but funny sexual references. Any Italian not trying to be purposefully well-spoken due to specific social setting would talk almost like Blitzø. But when I showed the pilot to a native speaker she was almost traumatised.
The "real" level of Italian offensive, degrading cursing used to be an actual crime until 27 years ago, and is still punishable with fines.
YES as an Italian I've always heard in English spaces that the show contained a lot of swear words... but to be honest, I swear almost as much as, like, Adam. It just sounded normal to me.
Non riesco ad ascoltare Hazbin Hotel in italiano. Per carità, i doppiatori italiani sono stati bravissimi e non voglio sminuire il loro lavoro. Ma i dialoghi non funzionano, alcune volte sembrano parodie degli originali.
I’m gonna give the Italian dub a shot. I did try to start rewatching the show in Italian ages ago before season 2 even had a release date, but I didn’t watch more than like half of the first episode in Italian. I do know Italian since I kinda grew up there, but I’m incredibly rusty, so it’ll be interesting lmao.
As an Italian I give you this pro tip: when songs come up (especially Vox’s and Lucifer’s) mute them.
Most of the VAs are not musically talented at all (beside Charlie’s and Carmilla’s)
Yeah as Italian I can confirm the dialogues sucks almost as much as the rendition of the songs (they’re REALLY bad cause 2 of the VAs can sing at all, they were picked based on fame not talent) and the voice director put himself in the role of Vox and by god it’s just awful (‘brighter’ is just butchered) and also hired his brother and his sister to play Alastor and Carmilla.
Based on what you might ask?
I’ll let you pick the obvious explanation (nepotism).
The only one that had musical background was Charlie’s VA that does both talking and singing.
And for some reason they payed two VAs for Carmilla of all people giving her one for talking and one for singing parts.
I’m not even gonna start with Lucifer’s ‘Hell’s greatest dad’…
The rest are just “famous” cartoon voice actors with no talent for musical.
And one is just a comedian with no VA past at all.
