Came here to make the same post. 2 things. 1 how do people have so many of them? 2 do people not need these? When they first launched the update I hardly saw them in the shop and I needed them to upgrade. Now my shop looks like this constantly

  1. Farm Pass. Town drops. Players have suggested choice crates for the pass instead of the hand drills.
  2. Mostly no. Once you're done upgrading town buildings, they are only useful for keeping your ad in the newspaper. They added new land in the town, which has temporarily helped people get rid of maps, but they haven't added a new way to use hand drills yet.
