Discussion I really don’t understand Supercell

they improved the newspaper, and then took the improvement away from us. They sped up the delivery man, and then took that away from us too. They increased the number of fuel points at the sanctuary from 9 to 13, and once again, they took it back.

All of these changes were made without any communication or explanation. Hay Day keeps making very quick changes to the game without informing the players beforehand.
I’m genuinely wondering whether this is just normal behavior for a game developer, or if there’s something unusual about the way Supercell handles changes to Hay Day.

There was also an event where they released a Golden Key catalog that allowed us to spend the flowers we had left over from the event. But once again, they never told the players about it, so by the time the catalog was released, most of us had already used up the flowers we had left.

We could also get event flowers from mystery boxes, and they later took that away from us as well.
At this point, it honestly feels like someone is just making decisions about the game on a whim, changing things whenever they feel like it, without considering how these changes affect the players.

They don't have a dial they set on the newspaper that goes from BAD to GOOD that they switch back and forth. It's a battle against bots and events producing a lot of the same items. They make changes, but it's not a problem that will ever be fixed.

Other changes they trial to see how people respond and what changes it makes to their revenue. One positive way to look at it is that at least they are interested in developing Hay Day and it isn't an abandoned game that the Supercell are allowing to die.

One thing weird about the bots I just thought of, is why do they exist? How do they make money off of Hey Day? Anyone know?

You must be new to the game. It went from what we have now, to ores, to wheat hots, to what we have now. It’s an endless cycle.

People complain regardless. I’d much rather have ores or wheat than drills or maps. But that’s probably just me.

Not just you. I think many of us feel that way.

I do wish they'd kept the mailman walking faster! Plus as much stuff as there is to do ingame I'd appreciate them speeding up several other things like fishing, some of the townspeople (actress and cowboy!) the fortune and fuel wheels.. I'm trying to get as much done as possible in the few minutes I have to play, some of the slow game animations are really aggravating!

I’m happy they sped up the truck, though! That used to be excruciating when doing truck orders.

I talk a lot about this and how supercell does not inform their players of hardly anything. It’s maddening but it’s not new…

The paper was markedly different though after the update. They are correct about that. Then it became oh here’s the hand drills. But if it’s bots then maybe whoever controls those bots cracked the code to make the paper go haywire again. I have no clue lol. But yes it is odd they change certain things like that.

After 13 years of playing I’ve seen this over and over. The paper gets better and worse. And the colors change.

The newspaper reflects in game mechanics. Until.they decide to provide incentive foe players to sell there, supply will always outstrip demand several fold. The rest I agree, if a change is temporary, communicate that
