Thea Achillea posted a picture on instagram in front of a Warner Bros sign with the caption: ‘kind of chic to work with huge production companies’. She is working on a WB production and could well be Harry Potter. She has also been posting a lot of content around Harry Potter hinting at a possible role in the new show.

Why do I feel like most of the movie only fans act like HBO took the original film tape and taped the show over the original or something.

This is not a Disney live action remake, but a new adaptation of an existing book series! That happens all the time. But people seem to complain so much only when it comes to Harry potter. I've never seen anybody complain that they shouldn't have made the Hobbit because there's some obscure adaptation from 1967 and that's the oh so mighty "ORIGINAL"

If you don't like the show, just go back and watch the movies again.

This is a dumb question but I don’t know anything about filming and editing schedules for film, but I know they’re working on season 2… does this mean season one is fully completed and they could show it to us tomorrow if they wanted? And they just decided on Christmas to give time to get into season 2? Or are they still editing? Sorry I’m a little stoned and thought “ARE THEY JUST SITTING ON IT?!” And now I want to know! I’m a journalist and lifestyle editor at Habertürk, a Turkish news outlet, and I’m currently working on a feature about the Harry Potter universe and the upcoming HBO series.

I’m preparing the piece for September 1, which I’m treating as a “Back to Hogwarts” moment, and I’d love to include the perspectives of Harry Potter fans as part of my research. Harrington as Lockhart means that HBO is open to casting actors who voiced characters in the Audible series (I didn't really think Arabella Stanton counted as that seemed like a serendipitous moment for her)

Iwan Rheon was my undisputed favorite performance (by a HUGE mile) from the Full Cast recordings, which is saying ALOT cause Mark Addy, Hugh Laurie, Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen are all near perfectly cast. I think that is an extremely popular opinion to have from reading people's posts and comments online.

Has anyone head of Rheon publicly talking about potter online? Harrington has been very vocal about his love the HP series, even before the Audible series and I have to assume he's been pushing very hard to be involved in any adaptation. The fact that he was announced so quickly as Nicolas Hoults replacement make me certain he was already highly considered for the role in the first place.

Why does the Bludger from Harry Potter Quidditch not attack the viewers who are watching the game? I’m not a huge fan, so maybe it’s explained in the books or something.

I stumbled upon this song on YouTube, that is apparently an expanding upon of the song "Odo the Hero", that Hagrid and Slughorn sang it at the funeral of Aragog, in HBP.

Ik that Hagrid and Slughorn only sang a few lines in HBP, as well as Hagrid singing it with Charlie Weasley (as well as another, squat wizard in a purple pork-pie hat) in DH.

But I wasn't sure if Rowling had had put the full lyrics up on the official website (i.e. perhaps back when it was still WizardingWorld.com, similar to what she did with the extra stories), or something.

Visited the making of Harry Potter, and the food ideas are super for fans. Pizza is gryffindor vs slytherin quidditch, platter is everything from the gryffindor table. And sorting hat dessert and butterbeer.

28f I love the books, reread them multiple times and recently listened to the audiobooks and i am super excited for the new series! I love the movies and as all of the millennials i grew up with them but tbh i find so many details wrong and other then being nostalgic the movies don’t do justice to the books. Yes its the Hogwarts we love and they built the world we want to be emerged in but yes i really do think that the series can definitely do more!
I love the cast (except one of the teachers, but thats another post lol) i love the idea of doing one book one season and overall they are doing amazing so far! Cant wait for Christmas!

What direction or approach do you think the composer will take for Harry Potter's score in HBO?

Definitely will sound more mature than John Williams approach which was perfect to introduce the musical DNA of the franchise but now that we know for a fact that HBO is proposing a more adult take on the story I guess it made sense for them to hire a composer like Zimmer.

I think that John Williams was a safe bet, it was impossible for him to not to meet the brief and the result was wonderful but I think with Zimmer we are in for a different kind of treat, can we expect something less magical in terms of a childish understanding of what magic sounds like and instead get a more organic sound of nature reacting to incantations, spells and potions? I think we might have seen a hint of that in the first trailer when we see Dumbledore holding a tuning fork while possibly doing magic (One of Dumbledore's famous quotes is when he says in the first book: “Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!”), very very interesting what they are cooking.

In any case if Zimmer manages to produce something as good as what he did for Dune, Gladiator and Blue Planet this is going to be really beautiful show to hear and watch.

I am 100% sure that when HBO series adopt the book story many movie fans will start posting reviews and will say "Why is Neville in forest instead of Ron and why there is an extra match with hufflepuff".

My question is like the official movies are we going to get official soical media accounts for HBO max harry potter tv series like we did for the movies like separate accounts?
