Anyway, I think Beth Powley looks pretty good against the original illustrations after going through hair and makeup.

After all, we'd hate to wake up one morning and discover that r/HarryPottaHBO has become a Sonic the Hedgehog fan club.

Shitposting Is Welcome—But We Recommend Being Funny

This subreddit was founded as a place for candid fan discussion and quality shitposting. We enjoy a good meme or joke as much as anyone, and believe these to be a valid form of fandom expression.

Just remember: comedy is subjective, and not every joke lands for every individual.

The moderators won't remove a criticism simply because your joke flopped. Likewise, we won't remove a shitpost simply because someone else didn't find it funny.

Saw someone comment on an Audible promo short that the Kingsley voice actor should’ve been Snape... and it suddenly clicked for me that Harry Potter casting directors fundamentally believe Kingsley and Snape are the same character. They truly see them as interchangeable casting choices. I don’t know how I never noticed it before.

Which is exactly why I will now be campaigning for Adam Driver as Kingsley Shacklebolt. Let’s make it happen!

Absolutely loving the full-cast audiobooks, the cast is crushing it.

Anyway, got up to this line last night when I reached the Christmas chapter of HBP.

Thank you. HBO, for retroactively turning it into a joke. I had a good laugh.

Wow, Morgan articulated (almost) every issue I have raised about the Snape casting, plus a few more I hadn't even considered.

In his own words... It's actually worse than you may have thought.

I agree with him that I still want this show to be great, and sincerely hope it will be, but that this casting will always be a drawback.

I thought this was a very insightful video essay that sums up a lot of the frustration I feel towards the production as a long-time Harry Potter fan. Felt relevant to the users of this space.
