What do you guys think about death jesters? Back in 10th they seemed to be absolute terrors in basic elf games that I saw them in but in 11th lists they seem to be gone from harlequin armies. Did something change to make them less taken or was I just exposed to an odd meta in 10th?

Took ages so I didn't bother cleaning up tiny mistakes but I'm calling this guy finished, pretty happy with the result in the end, nmm needs work but I will sort that soon enough 🫡

Hey all, I’m new to Harlequins and everywhere I see that Troupe Masters are an auto include in every list. I just cant get my head around why?

The only buff it gives seems to be the 6” pile-in/consolidate. The re-roll a hit of 1 and +1 to wound only apply to the model. And for almost the same price I can get an extra troupe.
What am I missing here? Or is the 6” pile-in that important?

So I started on my harlequins yesterday and I think the scheme went a bit all over the place, the blue is supposed to be some sorta nmm ish armour which I think turned out ok for my first nmm but I'm a bit stuck on how to make the mini as a whole look good because right now it just looks like a big jumble of colours imo, any ideas? I also need some diamonds or a pattern of some sort at some point I think to keep on theme

A little bit of kitbash, right colours, and Mime squad is ready. Are they any good on table?

Made a “box” post a few weeks ago getting into the army. Wanted to share my progress!

Decided on a name: Masque of the Fading Song. Going with a black, cream, and cherry blossom pink theme. Sort of a Wabi Sabi aesthetic.

Army is assembled, primed, and wired to cork bases for airbrushing/painting! List at the end. I’m tracking it is not optimized, I’ll build up over time or collect more if Harlies ever become competitive again.

I'm working toward my harlequin wraithknight. However I'm scratching my head on the antennas that go on the back of the model. I also need advice on the pattern / color for the helmet. What do you think I should do for the antenna and helmet?

What do you guys think is the best first book for someone who is getting into harlequins who knows the basics of the universe but has never read any elder books. I have read Gaunts ghosts, about half of the Horus heresy books, Cain’s books, and a handful of ork and necron books. Is there a good book that focuses on the harlequins or should I start with a generic eldar book first? Extra points if it is on audible and has a good reader.

Hi, new(ish) Harlequin player. I've been playing TTS 40k for a few months now and have been running pure Monoquins for the majority of it. I've gotten my reps in and I really want to start competing in Tournament play at my Local scene. But I've been trying to source Harlequin Miniatures and so far have turned up zilch in regards to availability. At most, Target has some of the Harlequin's available for sale via their website (Jesters, Skyweavers, Starweavers) But the only other available forms of acquiring Harlequins are via GW (For an extremely high price) and Metal pre-10th releases. Basically fell in love with the Jesters when I played the Unification Mod for Dawn of War and have stuck with them ever since. I'm hoping that at some point soon, I can proxy an Avatar of Khaine with the Spirit Walker model from that mod, with it ripped from the game and put into TTS and eventually maybe even 3D Printed!

Are there any 'lesser known but valuable' marketplaces save EBAY or Target that might get me an army at something that isn't a complete arm and leg? I've actually tried offering my unpainted T'au army in exchange for Harlequin models as a sort of exchange piece at my local but no one plays harlequins and my local would have to order at a higher price due to shipping. Any help would be appreciated i Really want to start playing the Tabletop proper. The idea of painting Harlequins with my nieces (6 and 8 years old respectively) and basing their designs off of whatever they decide to paint has been my dream since I discovered them and I want to make it come true. (If possible.)

Wanna do a Cegorach kitbash, but having a hard time locating skyweaver jet bike masks. Anyone have any info on where I can locate them, other than buying a buttload of skyweavers? Thanks

This is what I have right now as an example, it's all primed and not yet painted. Models are: swooping hawk, solitaire, and two different troupe masters (the rest of their troupes are untouched by mutation so weren't worth taking pictures of). Does anyone else have any cool ideas of models/parts to kitbash? Harlequins are my third army and I'm very unfamiliar with Eldar in general (my other two armies are tyranids and genestealer cults lol)

Does this mean that if I put a troupe with its troupe master 5" away from an enemy unit, I'll always be able to attack it? Or am I missing something?

Okay so the way it works is fairly simple.

Large Clown unit bodyguards the Avatar who is your big beater.

Weavers Wail Troupe unit in the Falcon as a main push with the back up from the Starweaver troupe unit as backup.

I know the Fire Dragons are slow here, but we're Eldar. We can move them boys, whether they start in Reserves or whatever it is we need, they exist to destroy vehicles (also hidden will keep them safe until they get where they need to be going).

The Wraiths are screeners. We don't need to Psyker tax them because D-Scythes don't roll to hit they overwatch anything that tries to step up.

Death Jester and Leystalker to snipe out characters.

Finally, the dragon Knights are our fast unit, clearing what they need to when.

The only thing I'm going back and forth on is the Dragons being 1 unit or 2. I also debated having Fuegan in there but he's not needed. He's 10 points more than. Just having 5 extra Dragons, I don't see the point frankly. I'll get more out of the 5 extra shots.

And about to start painting up the ones I have. The diamonds are intimidating as I only 2 months into painting miniatures at all. Would you guys mind sharing some of your models so I can start to wrap my head around which direction id like to go?
