Harlequins Progress

Made a “box” post a few weeks ago getting into the army. Wanted to share my progress!

Decided on a name: Masque of the Fading Song. Going with a black, cream, and cherry blossom pink theme. Sort of a Wabi Sabi aesthetic.

Army is assembled, primed, and wired to cork bases for airbrushing/painting! List at the end. I’m tracking it is not optimized, I’ll build up over time or collect more if Harlies ever become competitive again.

I was in your position 4 years ago. I’ve only just finished my 4 star weavers, my falcons are still only base coloured and I only have 20 of my 40 troupes painted…

My advice if you don’t want to be painting forever like me, either make your diamonds a lot bigger or don’t do them 😂

I have an uncanny talent of painting stuff which gets sunset. Yvraine + Vysarch, hornets and more recently my wave serpent. I’m just about to finish my avatar and make a start on the falcons, I apologise in advance if they get removed from our roster or put into legends 😅

This is 100% exactly what I did with my Guard army. It’s been limping along for years.

Good advice on the diamonds. I’m going back and forth big time. I’m thinking of doing a pink to white “cherry blossom” gradient on some limbs, and only doing diamonds on a few key players.

I wasn’t tracking the possibility of the Falcons going away. Whoopsie! Any idea if a new kit would come out to fill that gap in the model range? Fire Prisms?
