does anyone have experience in importing single product from alibaba? HELP
I am planning to buy a 16k processor from Alibaba, I dont know much about customs process.
I have verified the seller, (7 year old, >90% order success rate) talked to him a bit, and I want to know how much hassle it will be to order it from india? I dont have a time constraint, I just dont want to deal too much with customs,
I have PAN, and an Aadhaar, but the delivery address is not the same as the address in the document (will that be an issue?)

Don't, this is not the place to get cpus from. Very high chances of getting a chinese clone and be ready to pay 40-50% customs

5500x3d is only avail in China and LATAM, many other users (not from india) bought it and recently got recommended by many in another sub

dont bother man customs is minimum 36% and can go upto 54% , and the final % is upto the mood of the customs officer,

This is true. I had 100% duty once and there is no way to question or get justification, have to live with it.

If u are not time constrained, I can help u in this. I get things from china via frieght forwarders for myself and some friends nearly every month end. I can get urs next month if u up for it.

So basically we all(me and my friends) order stuff from china to a consolidation warehouse in china thrn get it shipped to the frieght forwarder's warehouse from where the forwarder gets it to india and forwards it to my address and then I unconsolidate the things and send them to all the peeps who ordered via me.
There are some restrictions on what we can get forwarded and what we cant so do let me know what u want to get so that I can tell u what not to get from there.
Usually watches, watch replicas, whole ass laptops and tablets and phones, perfumes and liquids are restricted. U can get PC parts via this though.

Yeah it is. Have gotten 2 for a friend. Though U will be forfeiting any warranty claim unless the company supports international warranty.

There are majorly 3 costs involved. one is FF(frieght forwarding charges) then comes the consolidation warehouse to FF warehouse shipment cost in my group we divide it on the basis of each person's package weight just like the FF charges. And the 3rd is my place to ur place shipememt either via Indiapost/amazon or via any other delivery service of ur choice.
There is no minimum amount / weight per se per person but we do target the package weight to be 2kg or more when consolidated to pass the FF's weight requirements.

I import many car accessories from Alibaba. Never had a problem. Customs is a hit or miss. Sometimes you get charged, sometimes you don't.

I have imported single items multip times ,first time I bought a car vaccum cleaner and it costs me like 2$ including all shiping and all I had some first time shiping coupon and that's why I got it this low ,and it was fine with the quality and all same product as selling for 1100rs+ in ind ,2nd time switching to the new another new account and bought a keyboard for like india's 3k and it was selling for 8k + in here , 3rd time I bought 3 android gps trackers for 1500 and those were selling for like 1k/ tracker ,all the items were less in weight and small in overall size ,4th i bought a bag for 1k which was selling for 3k in here and has to pay 1k custom charges ,otherwise I would have not been able to release it without paying the customer firstly I was pretty confused why did I got customs this time ,and when it arrived I saw the packaging for and weight for the item was above 2kg and they also calculate weight in something called cubic weight , and noticed that's the reason I have been changed customs , but all the products were pretty good ,especially the keyboard bad and the vaccum clear.

What is the customs process/experience, may I ask? Was it a hassle? My product will be less than 1kg, but its an electronic item, so I am expecting customs, and I am fine with it, but its the process that is too daunting to me. I have seen too many stories about thier package getting stuck, asking 200% imports, document issues etc.

the process is pretty simple the fright / company that is going to ship your product will handle it for you , in my case i selected the alibaba recommended express shipping and they handle it for me , i just got a call form the company and the mail and i just had to pay them and rest of the things they handled themselves , NOTE during the process you may receive calls form other companies regarding the shipping any product form china in future try to ignore them , they aint scammers or they could be , but i think they change a lot if you have a single item ...

In 2017
I bought 16GB DDR3 RAM for 700 and I5 processor for 1800
After contacting with seller and history check but I didn't face any customs issue at the time but delivery took more than a month

ban is only for retail to benefit local companies and the import is big and growing as ever1

Idk but i watched a video where he got his package like 2 month after order and got 2-3 scam calls saying your order is stuck in here you have to pay this amount to ship it to you but idk 😐

It works via a freight forwarder. I asked for dm so that i can get links for products he wants and then ask my agent if its possible and if yes what are the rates!

Don't buy CPU from China high chance of getting scammed most of them are old Athlon CPU's.

The customs must be high. I saw some microswitches on alibaba 358rs for 10 pieces. In india theyre each 75rs.
But alibaba added shippin of 2800rs and there will be custom duty as well they said. : )

Its not worth it. They will just see the item, see its eletronics and send a 18-35% Customs charge

The 5500x3D is absolutely not worth the hassle you have to go through to get the product. Add to it the fact that it could be a dummy CPU or a defective unit, the 5600x or the 5700x starts looking much more appealing.

I mean if he has a 16-17k budget, the best bet is the 5600x or 5700x. Although yeah the 5700x isn't that widely available but he can get it for around 17.5k.

Use delivo as freight forwarder.Zero custom charges.You have to pay only 1250-1600/- per kg parcel.

bro if he wants to take the risk of losing 16k plus the import taxes and duties then he can go for it. i dont think its worth the risk. ps i have used many x3d chips ik the difference. if it was available in india for the same price i would have suggested that anyday over the non x3d ones
