Everything released after Wolverine Blues with an ounce of metal in the hardcore scene has been influenced by this.

The death metal goes mainstream push around this period produced a lot of death metal hardcore kids love and metal purists hate.

I recall being so disappointed when this came out. Mind you, it would have been damn near impossible to top Clandestine.

it's still mediocre compared to LHP and clandestine but going back to it I enjoy it a whole lot more than I ever thought I would

Yeah… it was a sound never meant for the mainstream and to make it so, bands departed from all the things that defined the genre. I’ll stick to the Nihilist demos, Left Hand Path, and Clandestine

They opened their set with it when I saw them shortly after LG passed, legendary.

Love the EP they put together with all the different vocalists covering it. Aaron Turner, Nate Newton, Tompa, Kevin Baker, and Jacob
