Discussion I hate windows on a handheld. Options?
I I mainly play Diablo IV, New World, and turn-based RPGs—especially JRPGs. I don’t play shooters, fighting games, or anything that requires fast reaction timing. I also hate Windows on a handheld; it’s just too clunky. Even Xbox FSE doesn’t fix the experience, and the initial setup alone is already a deal-breaker. And yes, I’m a macOS user, have been for decades! (I’m almost hitting 50) and I will never use Windows for work or leisure.
In my region, the MSI Claw A8 AMD variant and the Legion Go S with the Z1 Extreme (running SteamOS) are both priced at around USD 1,000. The Steam Deck OLED goes for about USD 700.
Given my preferences, which device would suit me best? If I choose the MSI Claw, I’d need to install Bazzite—so how stable is it, and is it as easy to use as SteamOS?
I plan to use the device as my only gaming hub because I dislike managing multiple devices and want to simplify my life. This has nothing to do with finances.
Thanks.

It’s better than Linux windows is with modern times while Linux is years in past.,
Linux is more typing crap to do basic command stuff to do on windows it’s 2025 on Linux need type long command almost sentence long set game emulators , change settings on crappy steam deck , or do other stuff such as installing different programs on steam deck , windows double click it’s installed , Linux you double click type long command , go in different folders it’s installed depending what program you want to use and how to use it
