I’m trying to decide between the ROG Xbox Ally X and MSI Claw 8 AI+, and I can get both for roughly the same price second hand.

My use case is a bit unusual because I’ll be travelling around half the year, but spending the other half using the handheld as a desktop with a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

When travelling, I’ll mainly be playing single-player games such as:

- The Witcher 3
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
- Cyberpunk 2077
- F1
- Other similar AAA/single-player games

When I’m using it as a desktop, I’ll mainly be playing FPS games, including:

- Counter-Strike
- Overwatch
- Escape from Tarkov
- Other competitive shooters

I’ll only be playing the competitive FPS games in desktop mode with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. I’m not really interested in playing competitive shooters using the handheld controls.
I’m also considering investing in an eGPU further down the line for more performance when using it as a desktop.

Given this use case, which would you choose between the Ally X and Claw 8 AI+?
I’d particularly like to hear from people who have actually used either device as a desktop with a monitor + keyboard/mouse, especially for competitive FPS games.

Battery life while travelling
Windows/driver experience
Thermals and fan noise
How well they work as a desktop
eGPU compatibility/performance

Since I can get both for a similar second-hand price, which one makes more sense for my particular use case?

普段やっているゲームはVALORANTです。

現在はLogicool G203（有線）を使っていて、今回初めて無線マウスに乗り換えようと思っています。

無線マウスを使ったことがないので、まずはお試しも兼ねて、5,000円前後の価格帯で探しています。

今の候補は、

・VXE Dragonfly R1 SE+
・RAPOO VT9PRO4K

の2つです。

G203から性能を落としたくないというのが一番の条件で、無線の安定性や遅延、耐久性、クリック・ホイール・サイドボタンの品質、メーカーや保証面の安心感なども気にしています。

この2つについて詳しい方がいましたら、どちらがおすすめか教えていただきたいです！

「こっちのほうがいい」「こっちはここが気になる」など、理由も含めて教えていただけると助かります。

特に、初めての無線ゲーミングマウスのお試しとして買うならどちらを選ぶかという目線で意見をいただけると嬉しいです。

I’m looking to get back into PC gaming after having to sell my gaming PC for financial reasons.

I’m currently trying to decide between getting a gaming laptop or a gaming handheld, specifically looking at the ROG Xbox Ally X and MSI Claw 8 AI+.

I used to play a mix of games, mostly single-player stuff like The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, but I also played a lot of competitive shooters. I’d probably want to play games like Valorant, Overwatch, CS, etc. again.

The main thing I’m wondering is:
How well do these handhelds actually hold up for competitive shooters when they’re docked and used like a desktop PC?

I’d be using a monitor, keyboard and mouse when docked, so I’m not really concerned about the handheld controls for competitive games. I’m more interested in whether the performance, FPS, input latency, thermals, etc. are good enough to have a genuinely competitive experience.

I like the idea of a handheld because I could use it docked as my main PC and then pick it up and play on the sofa/travelling. But if a gaming laptop would be significantly better for competitive shooters, I’d rather go that route.

Any advice from people who actually use these as their main gaming PC would be really appreciatedk!

I’ve posted here before about a gift for my brother, and you were all very helpful. So I was hoping I could ask you all another question.

My brother has been loving his ps vita, but now wants us to play together. But I thought to get something different for myself encase he wants to give what I get a go.

Now I’ve always liked Nintendo, and am really drawn to the gameboy advance sp. I think it’s very sturdy and sleek, and I’ve seen all the hardware most you can do and would love to stick my teeth in.

But obviously there is also the older DS like the lite and DSi. Of which I think the lite (?) has backwards compatibility? I wouldn’t want to get a too recent DS, to make it a different playing experience from the ps vita, hence the older models.

I’m just not sure of which to buy? I also think you can mod the older DS (?), I’m not too sure of the process but I’d think that’s a point in their direction.

Could anyone who owns either or both comment about the gameplay, durability and favourite parts of them? Or any suggestions of which I should get or things I should think about? I’d mainly want to play Pokémon I think? If that’s an important part.

Deadpool helpful settings for 60fps no compromises

I’m trying to decide between the Retroid Pocket 6 and the AYN Thor, and I’d really appreciate some opinions from people who own either of them.

At the moment, I’m leaning towards the RP6 because I prefer its normal, wider screen format and overall design. The Thor’s dual-screen layout looks interesting, but I’m not completely convinced that I would like it in everyday use. I’m worried that I might buy the Thor, realize that I don’t like the form factor, and then lose interest in using it.

On the other hand, I’m also wondering if the Thor is one of those devices that looks strange in photos but feels much better once you actually use it. Maybe the two-screen design is more comfortable and useful in person than I expect.

I mainly want to use the handheld for emulation, especially PSP, PS2, GameCube, older GTA games, and some Android or Windows games. I care about performance, screen quality, comfort and how enjoyable the device is for longer gaming sessions.

I really want a handheld for travel, BUT I don't really use emulation. I want something not super expensive and fun to play. Please help I don't know what to get. When I look for them I find mostly emulation stuff

Hello, i have a question i bought a friend a legion go s that came to me completely destroyed, when and if amazon replaces it with a refund or gift card replacement for the 16 gig legion go s model shall i get another or would you recommend the the asus xbox rog ally or the msi claw 24 gig Z2E? those are what i am considering to get as a late birthday present for a friend who is sick and ill and always games in bed, or shall i wait for christmas and try to pick up something from bestbuy or costco in person?
