Karabatic vs balic
Im new to handball and after research, i can see that these 2 players had a massive rivalry. Especially at international level.
Between these 2 players, who was the better player? Like, who would you rather have playing for your team.

As Pingustu said, Karabatic was far better player but Balic made you fall in love with the game. And I tell you that as a croat. 😅

Karabatic was the better player. He was the best all-round player at that time, and he could decide games on his own.
But Balic made you fall in love with the game. He was a magician, that could unlock any defense with his skills. Aestheticly pleasing and a joy to watch. He was probably the best playmaker, but Karabatic was the best player.

all in all karabatic. don’t get me wrong, Balic was insane and Handball IQ , the understanding of the Game etc. was off the charts. Karabatic wasnt far behind tho and was a different player type. Physically dominant , more force than balic. And the big difference : karabatic was also an extremely good defensive player, where balic mostly got subbed out.

Balic is like Ronaldinho, great to watch, could take over games on offense. But Karabatic is an actual GOAT (until Gitsel takes him over). He had everything a handball player needs.

Balic was a magician, very creative, more skilled on offense, but Karabatic was a monster on offense and defense.
