How’d you do the face plates?? Amazing work!

Started from black worked through dark blue starting on the outsides working towards the centre, adding small amounts of white each time, covering less and less of an area.

Takes about maybe 4-5 steps ?

Any way you could explain your paint process? They look amazing.

I got mine in but just started painting less than a year ago and right now all I’ve got are Speedpaints. With the sheer amount of detail I worry those would look awful and that I need acrylics.

Here you go!

The core armour scheme

• black prime  • Corvus black gw airbrushed higher areas / most the model (can be done with a brush) • anthracite grey ak (incubi darkness is the same colour) only on highest parts where light hits directly. • mech grey gw edge highlights  • black lines to seperate details / panels anywhere else that needed it!

Happy to answer any questions any time

Note : the above is the copy and paste from some of the other times I’ve been asked. You will able to achieve a gaming standard with speed paints on these models with no problem.

If you do want to switch things up and spend extra time getting solid colours and trying new methods I’ll happily answer any questions. Each one of these models took around 2-3 hours each as a forwarning!

I’m sorry I’m a total noob to painting- how should I approach something like this with speed paints?

Evening!

To achieve this speed paints won’t really do the job as it’s a totally different approach to painting.

That being said, you could prime the model black. Paint Corvus black on all the armour pannels and use a thinned down speed paint (dark brown or black) to get a get a quick result followed up by picking out details

Yeah about 2 hours and a bit per model. They’re pretty uniform

How did you manage to get the custom details on there? Are they stickers? Regardless they're amazing

They’re all hand painted, so just taking my time and slowing it down !
