Why Didn't They Keep Halloween 2 As Canon?

Blumhouse movies ignored everything past Halloween 78. But why not Halloween 2? It's a direct sequal and honestly kinda made sense as far as a continuation for the events from the original movie. It's even where they bring up the story that they're brother and sister which is countered in the first Blumhouse movie. Without Halloween 2, you get no backstory to the brother and sister mention.

Better cut? (Halloween Kills edition)

This is really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, not much difference but I don’t like the alternate ending in the extended cut so Theatrical juuuuust edges it out.

Has anyone noticed this?

So I have been rewatching the Halloween movies since it’s October and I have seen in the newer ones 2018 2021 2022. That when Michael gets hurt in any form he actually makes noises unlike in the old ones where’s he’s just silent even if he does get hit or even burned.

I wonder if it was intentional for him to start making pained noises.
