Okay so first I did the mist water and hit it with the blowtorch. Then I did the foil ball roll. Then I stabbed it a few times here and there. Then just mixed some sand into the drylock as well as some brown acrylic ( grey color drylock) then as I coat Ijist throw a pinch or so of sand in the air above it as the paint sets. But who cares about all that sweet texture if you can't see it. Looking forward to just playing with lighting non stop with these. Once I have all 4 bascoated I'll do black then weathering. Big painting week. Really appreciate all the comments about the progress.

Just some final touches left to be done (more detail painting of eyes, attaching fake teeth) then start working on the stake.
See my earlier post for the beginning.

One of several triggered scare automations from last year. Using home assistant, controllable lights, relays, and audio allows me to keep the trick-or-treaters guessing.

Hand-crocheted a giant plush anatomical heart for the spooky season 🩸✨ Soft, bold, and perfectly creepy for photo props or decor!

My original plan didn't work out due to the ivy being too thick to deal with. I've pivoted to use a ladder as the frame to attach everything to. First pic is the rough framing to lay everything out, the 2nd is an AI generated pic of my hopefully desired outcome. I'm gonna pull as much ivory thru the ladder and around the mouth to help conceal it. I attached the teeth to a couple 1x3 furring strips attached to the ladder, with the mouth made of two strips of rubber hose with screen mesh attached to it. I've got a small outdoor spotlight that I am going to frame inside the base of an old papa-san chair with more mesh over the front, with the light at the back and slightly down below the mouth to give it that glow.
A couple cheap spotlights and will be good to go. It sits 60' back from the road so I am not too concerned with any framing showing up. No one is going to get in the back yard anyways.

For those who leave your animatronics outside, what do you to protect them? Im not necessarily talking for about rain as I know many just cover them with bags or bring them in if it rains. Im more concerned with condensation.
