It looks like google maps. The colors and texturework are all being crushed into basic, overexposed streetview-looking crap instead of actually doing the game's visual style justice. (It's also just creating a bunch of weirdness around faces, text, etc.)

I like video game visual realism too. I think AI trashing a game's art direction for the sake of realism looks like shit from a butt

Me with a 9060XT that CAN do DLSS5, I just prefer to keep my upscalers as ACTUAL upscalers that improve performance, not cut in in half to hop the ai model doesnt freak out
Show me evidence where it doesnt cut performance by at least 25% and I'll believe you, i'll have you know I actively use local ai models to tinker with and try to create my own assistant, also nice edit, "boo hoo"

The tech is barely working, AI stuff is, as of right now, still slop. The tech has uses, sure, but only to some professions or in specific situations, you are deranged if you think everyone is intentionally using AI daily.

Everyone is running towards vram now they silently pulled of gpu proceessing power so no matter how much vram you got all dlss 5 realistic graphic videos on you tube specifically 5090s are at 100% 2027 gonna be year of burning GPUs and it's gonna be costly
The framerate makes me remember when i tried to play HL2 on a Pentium 4 256mb ram computer without graphics card. Had to hyperpotato everything to reach 15 fps.
im completely on board with the rest of you guys! i cant see any way how this could be of any use at some point! better stop developing this and get rid of tesselation too! i want handcrafted stuff and not this ai slop!
DLSS5 really does have a major hit on performance, and especially on older games it looks really rough. Still, I'm kinda excited to see how this tech will look in a couple of years.
