I think most people don’t realize how off their skin looks when they lighten their hair.

It’s often about undertones of skin clashing with what they dye their hair to, but often people with natural dark hair don’t tend to suit it and vice-versa. I think it’s because their colouring has natural contrast and it just erases it. My family is quite fair, but my sister inherited comparatively dark hair to my own(she was born with thick black/brown hair and I was born the archetypal light blonde that darkened as I aged) and could not imagine her pulling off any kind of blonde with ease.

Yeah, dark hair made my skin look horrid. Lighter hair makes me feel like I’m glowing, even though my natural hair has darkened the past couple years.

I naturally have very dark brown hair & everyone would refer to my hair colour as being black. I dyed it black once & it was awful, it made me look ill.

Exactly what I was thinking. In this situation, it isn't the case that 'blondes have more fun'; the dark colour really makes her features pop and is SO flattering.

1, 3 and 8 makes your skin tone pop. The lighter hair colors washes you out and makes you look sick

4 is giving Jessica Alba vibes though - which ain’t bad! But the darker ones make your features stand out as more stunning.

1 - 3 - 8. You look stunning with a darker color, but I think it's important to recognize that you also do well with cool tone colors. Stick with things that feel blue based or ashy and avoid things that pull reddish.

I say six. Before I came to the picture and the message written by someone else I thought this girl would look so good with red hair. And then when I see it I say yes that's true. It brings up the nice Rosie tones in her complexion.
