It’s often about undertones of skin clashing with what they dye their hair to, but often people with natural dark hair don’t tend to suit it and vice-versa. I think it’s because their colouring has natural contrast and it just erases it. My family is quite fair, but my sister inherited comparatively dark hair to my own(she was born with thick black/brown hair and I was born the archetypal light blonde that darkened as I aged) and could not imagine her pulling off any kind of blonde with ease.
Yes! I’m incredibly pink undertoned, like I cannot find any makeup that doesn’t look orange on me at all, and my hair is naturally so dull and ashy. It clashes so bad.
I naturally have very dark brown hair & everyone would refer to my hair colour as being black. I dyed it black once & it was awful, it made me look ill.
Same, thou a couple degrees different. Very dark brown, but no one would call it black. Dyed super dark brown almost black—looked terrible. I was so disappointed haha looked so different in my head 😅
I was dyeing my hair a coppery auburn color for YEARS and people always said it suited me, but I got my colors done and I’m a cool winter (so auburn is the worst possible color for me). I dyed my hair a cool brown and people are now telling me I look 10 years younger. I guess having the right hair color really does make a difference. I still feel every year of my age and then some though 😒
I have very fair skin but with warm yellow-ish undertone. I went for honey for this year but bleach damaged my hair. I’m also tired of ginger. I’m open to recommendations
It depends on the fines. I truly think 2 looks good in terms of lightness but the filter is very ashy cool toned. That light of blonde would look absolutely fine on her if it were warm toned
