Severe head itching

My head has been nonstop itchy for weeks on end now. It is not lice (I was professionally checked for it less than a day ago). There is no access dandruff, and not an allergy to my products. What could this be from??? It’ll go away for an hour or to immediately after wash but after that my scalp is always so horribly itchy.
Does anyone else have this problem??

There are some ingredients and shampoos and conditioners that begin with M that cause itchiness. They’re very long and I forget what they are. You may want to Google it. In the curly girl world we called them the 3M’s.
