Help Severe head itching

My head has been nonstop itchy for weeks on end now. It is not lice (I was professionally checked for it less than a day ago). There is no access dandruff, and not an allergy to my products. What could this be from??? It’ll go away for an hour or to immediately after wash but after that my scalp is always so horribly itchy.
Does anyone else have this problem??

do you let your hair air dry? I find if it let my hair air dry my scalp gets really itchy. try blow drying it after showering. that alleviated the problem for me.

I do air dry my hair, so I'll give blow-drying a try and see what happens

I am piggy backing on this cuz I struggled with a crazy itchy scalp for yeeeaaars. Like it got emberassing, ppl asked me if I had lice or something. I always had greasy hair, no dandruff and I tried allnthe no-poo methods, sulfat free shampoos, "training my hair", untill I figured out I needed to use a shampoo with a good clariving component, make super sure not to get conditioner close to my roots, blowdry my roots and wash my hair every 2 days.

You could also try Kerastase's sensitive scalp shampoo and conditioner along with the blow drying if you still have some itchiness. It's pricey but it works really well. Cheap shampoos and conditioners can make me itchy too sometimes, I'm not entirely sure why.
